Am I crazy or does $379 for that Toshiba laptop seem like a decent deal? Not breathtaking, but better than deals on laptops at non eBay/live.com stores?

I sincerely hope that to be the case. It happened last year as BB's response to their BF ad perennially getting leaked, and it REALLY needs to happen this year because the deals mentioned above are just dismal.

What about the HP with 6gb ram and 650gb hard drive? how does this compare to the costco one that has a 24in monitor and 500gb hard drive and 4gb ram?

Glad I ordered my Lenovo Y530 last night. I was going to hold out for BF, but the wife and I didn't feel like dealing with the crowds. This ad confirms I won't be waiting outside BB for anything. After all rebates and CashBack, the Y530 is only $388, purchased from the comfort of my sofa!

Blech! been waiting to get a new TC for weeks, looks like I will still be waiting. these deals are no better than any deal they have had on any of the holidays over the last 2 months or so.

I wouldn't get too upset just yet. I really think BB is going to release another page to their ad with awesome deals. This is exactly what happened last year when the ad got leaked. Then one day an extra page with the hot deals appeared.

LOL - every year people say the ads suck. I always laughed because I was always able to find some good deals at BB on BF. Howevr this year I have to join the chorus of BB's ad really sucks. Not one thing I would buy

Actually, the laptop looks pretty good. It has 3 gbs of memory, 160gb hd, microphone and camera, whereas the laptops last year are more barebones.
