In general, can you purchase a BF item a few days before it goes on sale and then do a return/rebuy on the same item? Do stores have special rules for this on Black Friday stuff? Would you have to do it on BF or could you do it a few days after BF? Thanks

YankeeRedneck - For BF return/rebuys, it's an area that YMWV...it is often dependent on the staff working that day whether they want to help you. Also, one of the biggest obstacles is getting the same model before Black Friday that will be on sale. Some stores, including Wal-Mart, won't put out the specific model that's on sale until Black Friday, so it's impossible to purchase in advance.
I personally have done return/rebuys on smaller items numerous times on Black Friday, usually without even having the merchandise with me.
I have seen a few people try this over the years Staples, target, OD all got shot down. The only way I could see it woking would be a clueless (or in on it) clerk.

Can you tell us which retailers allowed you to return/rebuy electronics on BF? Can you help us? Members here would love to know. Thank you for your time.

Sure you can. They will accept returns. Now if you are planning to immediately rebuy it you are in for a rude awakening. It has to go through their system first. Plan on spending a few days, due to the season, waiting.

Bingo bango bongo. Bestbuy and a few other stores have started no return policies during bf sales. Return rebuy is just crap anyhow and a way to cheat other people out of the sale.

That is a quote from Quantum Leap. If you seriously believe buying merchandise 2-3 days prior to the actual sale just to cheat the people who stand in the freezing cold for the same deal, then you need to evaluate the way you think.

ok..that explains everything...(quoting from some tv show and expecting everyone to know what you are smoking) .......you go stand in line with the other losers.......my time is too valuable for that

Your time is more valuable than those standing outside? Do you see what you are writing down here? You are looking for the exact same deals they are but somehow you think you are better than them.
I once was in a quarter mile long line at the cash registers at a Staples a couple years back (before I switched to only online ads in the morning) and someone tried to do that and people in the line to check out literally tried to start rioting before the CSM even said "we don't do that". They had police there for the lines, but it was a good thing for that idiot because he was about to get trampled at the very least.
