Stores use the last digits of the price for inventory control- like, if you go to pier1 imports, all of their clearance items will end in an 8, while sale items end in a 6, or regular items end in a 0 or 9. ($x.x8, etc.) in this case, I'm guessing anything priced with a last digit of 8 gets marked back to retail as soon as their doorbusters are over.

Not sure where you got this ad at but it isn't the one I was given, the one I have is over 50 pages... the best deals aren't even on this scan.
