Just so happens that my niece wants an iPod nano and an iHome alarm clock for xmas this year. They've got the alarm clock free with iPod purchase. That'll save us about $40, at least.
Thanks, OP!
Also, re: "Free $10 Gift Card w/ $50 Gift Card Purchase" - wonder if they'd let us buy the $50 card, get the $10 card free, and use both right away? Wonder how many free $10 cards you can get with $50 card purchase? (I can't find the "6" footnote that goes with that.)
Edit: And, shoot, just realized that it's only with purchase of a black ipod or ipod nano. Wonder if they'd do a color substitution? Niece wants a purple one.

Anyone know how the Radio Shack prepaid gift card works ($50 w/ xbox purchase)? Do you receive it immediately for use on a separate or future purchase, or do you receive it in the mail? If mail, how long?
Thx!

It is a mail-in rebate. Pretty good deal though at 249.99 after rebate.

Keep in mind that iPod nano's go for $135 at Amazon with free shipping no tax.

However, since my niece wants an iHome alarm clock too, and those run $40 at the lowest price, the bundle with the ipod for $150 and the clock for free is a better value for us. Even with tax.
Unfortunately, she also really wants the purple ipod nano. If Radio Shack won't substitute the purple one (and they probably won't), we'll have to buy the ipod separately.

Buy the one on sale..... several days later, go back and "smack your head, tell the salesguy that your wife said PURPLE!!" and exchange it (unopened, of course)...
If they don't exchange it, then tell them you are going to return it.... unless you want to try the exchange a couple days later, OR at another store!
It was live this morning already. I'd buy the camcorder to try but I'm afraid I won't be able to return it in-store. Their website tells you that some items have to be mailed back, and they will tell you on your packing slip. Great, just like CompUSA used to pull!
Had a good experience at RShack - the store in Phoenix @ 67th Ave.
Thought the Olympus FE-370 was a good deal @ $129. Comes with the Canon MX300 printer which you can resell for $35 or so on fleabay (after fees) making the camera around $95.
Got the camera home, opened the box - NO CAMERA!
Went back to the store - the Manager apologized profusely and offered a discount. They store was busy but he did a great job making up for the mistake even with all the other craziness going on.
Yes I know they shouldn't have let me leave the store in the first place w/out a camera, but we're all human. I make plenty o' mistakes.
I haven't been to RShack many times - but wanted to give a shout out for a good experience w/them.

Went to RS at 10:55, the store was empty. I picked up the $80 camcorder, I will decide what to do about it. Being RS, you can open it and still return it, and they have an extended return period for the holidays, even.

Radio Shack is substituting the L32W761 (Last years model, ONLY 1 HDMI) for the ad pictured L32W861 (current and on web site as $399, 2 HDMI) without telling the customers that it's not the same TV. I didn't realize the switch until I got home. I called, and the store manager told me he had been aware of the difference for months yet he had sold all the older models he had as if they were the newer model. (There was a bit of hesitation in admitting this at first.) I expect a lot of disappointed folks who expected to be able to plug 2 HDMI devices into this TV on Christmas. Of course they were out of stock across the state for the newer 861 model. Not a very honest approach from Radio Shack. Seems kinda like a bait-and-switch to me.
Anyone else experience the same? Anyone else not get told they were being sold an older less feature filled model as a "substitution?"

Went in to get the Gateway Laptop for $499 AR. They ran out of the laptop, but had one left of the similar Toshiba Satellite L305-S59071 going for $599 AR. Manager told me he would take $100 off of the Toshiba to make it the same AR price ($499). Sold!
The Toshiba has 4GB vs. the 3GB of the Gateway, and has 320GB vs. 250GB. So, I got a better computer for the same price b/c they ran out of their doorbusters. Seems like a good deal.
Anyone have any insight into the quality of this Toshiba? Seems from specs that it is a better computer than the Gateway, but performance-wise is it still a better deal?

Any items that do not say "Web Only" or have a sku starting with a #55..." can be returned in store.

I picked up the $4.99 Samsung a137 GoPhone. I thought it would take the same unlock code as the a437 in Hot Deals, but no luck. Has anybody else found an unlock code for this phone?
