This is not exactly a rumor...given I heard it from a sales associate. I do not know that Boscov's has a special Thanksgiving Day circular out yet...
I don'tknow what sales they will be having...but when I went to the pick up window, the guy who put my purchases in the trunk of my car told me he had just heard a few minutes before that Boscov's will be open on Thanksgiving. He said that the reasoning behind this is that Target and WalMart will be open those days and that they make most of their sales between 8AM and 1PM (the time Boscov's will be open on Turkey Day...).

Still baffles me that retailers think they can't take a single day off. That one day off could who knows let them rethink their marketing strategy to be truly competitive in their market.

Native...they are fighting off bankruptcy. You are *so* right.
The garish lighting and mirrors...which remind me of a Vegas casino...is terribly outdated (and I thought it was outdated the first time I walked in one back in the early 90's!).
They do have good deals from time to time though.

If they put the Panny 42 inch plasma at $599 or $500 on Thanksgiving that would be amazing. They just had $699 on it and the associate said it wasn't going any lower. I think he was telling me the truth based on what only he knew, but there could be still some pretty hot deals.
