The ad is pretty disappointing - seems to be a trend this year. The $20 wet/dry vac is a nice deal for those who don't have one already. I'll pick up the storage shelves because I need them and a $25 microwave to have as a spare. Not much else here to coax money from my wallet.
Thanks for the posting OP! Meh, yeah not seeing much this year. Has anyone used one of these "dogbone" wrenches? Are they worth having around or does it get all messed up when you start applying torque?

It is probably a pretty light duty tool. I'll stick with combination wrenches or sockets on a flex handle.
isles1 said: Any comments on the Dewalt 18-Volt Compact Drill/Driver Kit - $99.00 listed on the last page of the ad? I'm in the market for a cordless drill. TIA
they had that $99 Dewalt 18V drill for the black friday deals for the past 10 years
for sure they are stronger... but for most people, their ridiculous charging trickle issues, memory and shitty batteries after a few months/ or a year is a real issue... I want to pick a tool up and use it.. not pick it up and find out it is dead. Li Ion might not have the muscle, but it works when I need it to... just my opinion...!

The DeWalt drill kit and Ridgid wet/dry vac seems like a good deal.
green for you, again nothing great, but I will be stopping by for the storage shelves.

I was quite pleased with several of the deals. I am in the market for a basic washer and dryer, that Maytag set is perfect. Looked at sam's today and couldn't get a pair for less than $650-700. Also like the shelves. Gonna buy those LED flashlights for my dad. He is a flashlight freak.

Wow, this is terrible compared to last year. Last year was a steal. I got the 4 Piece Ryobi Drill, Saw, Vacuum, battery set AND a free tool of your choice (I picked up an additional battery) for about $50, albeit I had to stand there and argue with the a**hole store manager that the deal is legit. The moron didn't believe me and the 15 other people that the deal was that good and he refused to sell it to us. Anyways, looks like this year, they really mellowed out.
does anyone know how many batteries the Ryobi Drill/Saw kit comes with ??
thanks
usually 2 !
My guess is only one and only a tiny charger as seen in the picture. Notice that it's only the drill that has a battery while the saw doesn't. If you look at a few of the other Ryobi items, the ones that come with two batteries have two in the picture.
I agree that the deals seem to be getting worse each year. A few years back they had the battery/charger and drill for $30. Last year was decent though, the saw, drill, vac, flashlight, battery, charger plus one free tool for $59 was a deal. Now for $49 and only saw, drill, battery, charger, not so hot. I don't like how they have the lithium kit in there too, it's just filler because that's the regular price. I saw it discounted at one point for $199, but didn't bother to pick it up.
Don't forget to get a 10% off Lowes coupon from the post office mover packet and see if they take it as a competitor coupon, most of them do.

Did you check the Sears sale? They have a doorbuster at $579 for a pair and it's a front load not top load like The Home Depot one.
Also if your dad is a flashlight freak, don't get those flashlights. They look cheap and don't have much range. Real flashlight freaks are over at candlepowerforums.com and they buy their flashlights from DealExtreme.com, kaidomain.com, shiningbeam.com or 4sevens.com and the list goes on.
Do anyone think the Husky air compressor is better then the lowes deal on the Campbell Hausfeld brand....69 vs 59 buck? Specs look the same....advice. Porter Cable is better but was not looking to pay that much...thinking small projects, trim, crown molding, etc.

I should have clarified. He likes cheap flashlights. Goes through them like candy. As for the washer and dryer, I prefer the top load the way my laundry room is set up. Thanks.
Add: I looked at the Sears ad. Very anti-Kenmore. Eep!

Porter Cable is not that great anymore they have turned to &*^% (even their air tools are getting cheap when they used to be the best in the business)...that is bottom barrel. Go with husky...much better warranty (unless things have changed) and the quality of the plastic and tank is much better.
This is honestly the best BF ad I've seen this year so far. There are amazing deals in here but I'll just let the suckers who think they can buy high quality tools on BF bitch and moan about the prices (FYI every Dewalt tool in this ad except the table saw is absolute shiat).

That's only because this year's BF deals are crappy. I definitely won't be going to any stores this year. I'll do all my browsing online and probably buy some semi-warm deal just because I like to buy stuff.
carsonsig said: Opinion? Don't bother with nicd tools. Batteries suck.
Lithium is great if you use your tools alot. nicd is fine for most people. BUT, you will need to charge it right before you use it since they discharge overtime (this is assuming you don't use it often).
