promotional kit with versions of all three products???? does that mean full verison???? or 90 day try.

alert mods

During last Launch party, they gave away the FULL versions~~

No Memphis, as always... this place sucks.

Thanks coolpizza! It would also be great if one of the attendees of one of the earlier launches could drop back in here and let us know what versions of the software are being included in the promotional package.

Edit: By version I mean both whether they are limited (beyond being NFR) licenses and also the variety, such as Visual Studio 2008 Pro vs. Standard.

If this launch is similar to their Visual Studio 2005 intro, they handed out the Standard Edition of both VS2005 & SQL2005 Server. For those who can't make the official launch, keep an eye out for the "Best of" event where they regurgitate the same information and also hand out the NFR copies.

I went to a MS launch event thinking that I would get a free Office 2007 and Vista. Boy, was I wrong. I didn't get squat. I asked about it and they said that they weren't giving it out. I spent three hours listening to a lot of bogus sales pitch for nothing.

If you plan on going, make sure you print out a copy that states that you will get a copy of the said software.

I registered for the LA one...It said I will get a conf email within 5 to 10 business days...Now my question is does this cost anything or is it free?

Got my email confirmation for LA next day after signed up earlier this week. All free unless you sign up for the hotel room at negotiated rates.

At the VS2005 launch, we got VS 2005 standard, SQL Server 2005 Professional, and a 180-day time-limited version of MS Server 2003.

Do I have to be there the whole time to receive the softwares? It's on a workday so I can't spend a whole day at the event.
