I'm curious about what everyone's answer to my title is. I actually don't like it because the hard drive is very small and the screen is a little too small.

I thought the accompanying article: Counterpoint: Why Your Second Computer Shouldn’t Be a Mini-Notebook made better points.

I need a desktop, 15'4, and something around a 9-11".

I'd be up for a mini but only as a secondary travel device. If big cities had free wifi then I think these would be more useful. Until then I say no go.

I am confused. The first number looks like a size of a boat you would like and the second number is a request from your gf?

My wife has a work-issued tiny-little laptop. No CD-ROM, much smaller screen, smaller keyboard, but it is otherwise a nicely-performing computer, especially for 'net access...I wouldn't hesitate to use it as my only PC.

What kind is it? I need something small for business for when I travel.

I did a focus group last fall for the ASUS Eee PC and thought it was a great idea.
I can definately see getting this for DH who only turns on his $700 laptop 2x/week to check his email and drool over fishing boats on craigslist.

After dealing w/my niece at college with her laptop (too heavy to tote around), I could see these mini-laptops being great for college kids, as well as the younger set who just want a pc to play games on.

I think this is a great second-computer type item, just not a "main" computer type pc.

It's great for the size and mobility. You can buy it and watch porn on the go, with one hand free to wank off that extra stress from everyday life. Lol

I do not have the luxury to buy one and since I already buy 2 GPS system, I decided to hack one into a Palm. It's work so far, until one day I took it to work and it's failed. But it's still a perfect reader for those heavy and big novels I have not yet read.
