Thursday's code: "Gridiron" NFL WEEK! Go Chargers! newletter from sony points has an extra 5,000 pts for registering a product.
question from a noob: so i was looking through the rewards and I don't see any auctions or anything like that. All I see are things that are discounted with the points. I must be overlooking some obvious link
It's on the home page, left hand side tool bar on top Sometimes the auctions are pretty good, but a lot of the time, you can get the same price just by scanning the internet.
I debated how many to use. I was afraid that if I didn't use all of the points that I had and then someone else won, I'd kick myself. So, my final bid was for something around 70,000. It may not have taken that many to win, but like I said, I didn't want to chance it.

Was this just a Points Only auction? If so, I can't imagine 70,000 being enough, given a 300 CD changer that was just finished at auction went for 115,000 points.
It is linked with www.wheeloffurtune.com when you sign up to: Sony points program, and if you hit "home" on the sony page you will see auctions on the left hand side. weh!, i hope that helps.

It was points and $875. It was valued at almost $5000, which was actually fairly legitmate because I priced everything. I figured that if it was a straight "contest", the taxes would probably be more than $875, so I decided to go for and I'm really glad that I was able to get it.
