Question ..probably richkidz knows this... when you fill out the W9 from when collecting a prize ..does the station always report this to the IRS and do you get a summary of winnings you have signed for at the end of the year ...or are you just expected to "remember" to report the winnings on your year end tax filings. I turned down a 5 day 4 night Cabo trip when it turned out to be only for the rooms...meals and flight were extra and yet they valued it as a $1400 package( for the W9) that I would have had to pay taxes on.. I could have gone online and booked the rooms for $300 cost.
What has been any ones experience with prior year winnings and tax reporting (or not). Thanks again to all...love your posts... always give you the + alert.. you should all have inch long green bar ratings.
When it time to file taxes, the station will mail you a winning balance throughout the year. You don't need to remember your winning since it is being reported to the IRS.

TooOldTooSlow...You don't need to report any winnings to the IRS unless your winnings are over $500. total. In the case that they are over $500. at one station or company, like Clear Channel, you will get a W2 from them.
