The points haven't disappeared - when they made a change to show how many trivia questions you've answered, it lost some compatability. Clicking on "View Profile" doesn't show all of your points.
Go to "My Account" and look under "Points Aging" for your total available points.

My account seems to be showing me all of my points in both places. Still don't like it cuz I can't watch the points get added on as I earn them.

it could be worse... my account shows that I have NEGATIVE 9790 points!!!! apparently with the new system I owe them!
