Just checked on the AMEX site and its gonig to be back, Nov 28th. They start collecting wishes Nov 1 and the wishes come true on Dec 14.
Last one was trash but usually they do a better job on the holiday wishlist.. so I am optimistic.
For those who dont know what the wishlist is.. check details on the older versions in the contests section. This thread will also be moved there, I guess but I posted here so everyone could see for once.

Yup, many FW members have purchased (won) items through Wishlist. In fact, several users have won multiple times on every Wishlist. However, I'm not one of them

Oh my....v5.0.
edit: I can't wait for the next generation of programmers to come on this forum to 'brag' about how foolproof their site is now. I LOVE this promo. Bring on the captchas. I actually LIKED them. Just kill the varying lengths and bring it down to numbers only (like eBay). That'll discourage the bulk of most determined scrip writers.

neo2299 said: get those scripts ready! Hey, don't you have enough elmos already? That'll be interesting to see if AMEX can pull off some elmos and PS3. They had the 360 last year...and the buying power to get these.
I mean, if CITIBANK REWARDS can get a supply of PS3. AMEX better be able to handle some.

A friend of mine has won lots of stuff, 2 home theatre sytems (he let me have one) and also the nespresso from last years holiday wishlist. I won a couple of Amazon GCs, which were worth a lot.
I think the last one was crappy, but I have good memories from earlier.

I am way too slow at typing those random letter things to ever win the big stuff. Last time I got a buy 2 nights get one free at Le Meridien. It expired before I went anywhere, and who the crap is Le Meridien anyway?

The wish site is up. Looks like a car, cruise, ipod, scooter and TV are part of the prizes.

This time you can get maximum of 4 hot products and 4 wish certificates
Looks like they've made improvements on the terms. They dumped USPS for the delivery and are using Email for some wishcerts.
I hope that means they're bringing back both Dell and Amazon and delivering them electronically. Hopefully IKEA and Saks 5th are coming back again from the initial promo. TRU is always nice to see...especially if online use to stack with PS3!
Good to see back to 4 certs and the initial hot products look nice with a cruise package again.

But only one per merchant, is that new? Could be crappy if Amazon is the only good one (and given the recent history, that could be the case), means you essentially just get one.
Also the car looks like some Porsche, and the Ipod is one of those Microsoft Zune's that are coming out in November.

It evens the playing field for everyone and prevents hoarding. But then again, I don't know how they'll reinforce the 1 per retailer via programming. It's certainly NOT going to be manually reviewed like the ones done for the hot products back in the spring time. I bet that'll be done still..though their determinations of exclusion was quite nebulous in the past.

By matching photos with product photos, looks like the Porsche is a Caymen, base $49K The TV is A SHARP 37" 1080p LCD.
Can't tell what the scooter is yet or what cruise line.

Anyone know what the wishes that were granted in the previous years were?
