The key is to be very aware of LOCAL sweepstakes. I won the Mini by noticing on TV that the station and an FM station were teaming up to give away the mini. You had to watch that station every night from 6 to 7pm. When a picture of the FM dj popped up he was wearing something funny ( hat, glasses, beard, etc.). First person to call the FM contest line with what he wore won a gift basket and qualified for the final drawing. You can tape the show and get the phone number and tell when the pop up occurs. Then watch and have the number on redial. Took me a week to win a spot, then got a spot for my wife (ok in the rules) the following Monday by handing her the phone after I got in. At the final draw, the key was hidden in one of the t-shirts in big envelopes we stood behind. Second prize was a trip to L. A. Look up the web sties for all FM and AM radio stations and TV stations. They have a contest page there where you can find out what they are doing and all the details. The car giveaways usually have an opportinutity to qualify at the final drawing for one or more spots. Bookmark the web sites and check every month. I have been to 10 or more final drawings for cars. Also won 52" high def. tv locally at a home builder giveaway after trying 5 or 7 different times.
