This is part of the Big Carl Combo promotion. If you order a Big Carl Combo they'll give you a gift card with a random value of $1 to $100.
However you can also just claim a gift card by sending in a SASE.
"b. For a free Rewards Card, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope, to:
CKE Restaurants Attn: Marketing 6307 Carpinteria Ave STE A Carpinteria, CA 93013
Requests for a free Rewards Card must be received by Januuary 5, 2010 (or while supplies last). Limit one request per stamped envelope. All requests must be handwritten. No mechanically reproduced request permitted. Odds of receiving any particular Rewards Card value are the same as stated in Rule 3 below."
A purchase will not improve a participant’s chances of winning. Not worth as much as the McDonald's Monopoly promotion though. (Don't we all remember the days when we furiously scribbled SASEs to get Best Buy bucks? Or, better yet, used the printer to print our hand-written addresses on the envelope, with the people in Strongville not knowing?)
