and for those with a safeway/gas station combo, this also qualifies you for $0.20/gallon discount on fuel as well.

Lucky you. In Texas it is only $10/gal off which brings the price down to $2.54/gal

Combine this with a cc like Chase Freedom giving 5% back on groceries during the fourth quarter for another 5% off.
ETA: For some of the restaurant cards you may do better percentage wise buying gift cards and getting a bonus card (which usually represents 20% off) during their yearly holiday promotions.

Another great double dip on this deal is the Coors/Coors Light rebate.... Buy $100 in gift certs from anywhere and an 18 pack or larger of coors/coors light and get $25 back by mail rebate..... its free beer and money... I lifted the copy from an eBay ad for the rebate form...but you can get them at your store...they are little stickers on the Coors/Coors LT cases... Some state restrictions..

safeway did something like this last year (I think it was $10 OYNO). Note that these coupons were pretty restrictive and couldn't be used for gift cards, stamps, alcohol/cigarettes, lottery and pretty well anything that wasn't a grocery item. It's still a pretty good deal if you're getting groceries anyways, but given the 7 day expiry period, it is a bit hard to really stack this one 10x (unless you need $1500 in groceries =)

The $15 off $50 coupon might be helpful for those use manufacturer's coupons (printable or from the newspapers). Give the $15 coupon first and then the manufacturer's coupons. I have to buy some gift cards for gifts anyway.
