Currently there's a buy 1 get 1 free for five-ream paper AFTER EASY REBATE
Since the paper is $24.99, I assume I have to pay $49.98 up front.

If I buy anything small to push it over $50, can I get the $10 off in addition to the $24.99 easy rebate?
That should work as all the register cares about is if the sub-total of all items before sales tax is over $50. Rebates do not enter into the calculation in computing minimums for coupons. Be aware that this is an UP TO rebate and your rebate will be reduced should you use any competitor Qs. Since you are not you should be fine and get back the entire rebate amount.

Either Staples is getting faster at processing Premier, or I am incredibly lucky. I spent my 1000th dollar on Wednesday, and when I logged in this morning, all the red had turned to black, and it said Premier in the top right corner. Those Wednesday purchases haven't even posted yet in the status bar at the bottom, but I'm not complaining.

Honestly, as long as it went through by May 31st I would have been happy, but perhaps this means my April rewards will have longer expiration already? Does anyone know?

My guess is that they'll have 90-day expiration because they were earned before you earned Premier. Would be nice for you if I'm wrong.

I just checked my account and my recycling for March and purchase rewards are still there even though I purchased a FAR QuickBooks. I also received the rebate check and deposited already. Anyone seeing extra rewards in their account?

Edit: I had $105.20 in rewards. $20 ink rewards a month for the first 3 months of the year before the change in program and $45.20 in rewards. I purchased the FAR QuickBooks for $99.99 and purchased some dry erase markers as well for $4.99. I paid $1.08 after my $105.20 were applied to the order. I checked my account today and I still had $65.20 in Staples rewards account $20 from March recycling that expire on June 30th and $45.20 from other purchases.

I am not getting the connection between March recycling and QB purchases and rebates and extra rewards.

Are these rewards still showing under view and print rewards? If so, try the use them online option and see if they are really there. If not there then despite what the totals are showing you really do not have extra rewards.

Good call, I tried to redeem online and then an error occurred. Thanks!

Hello,
Let's say I pay for some items using a rewards check from a different rewards account number/address and that rewards and number is printed on the receipt. However, I want to submit the rebate under a different address associated with a different rewards number.

Assuming I didn't do that rebate under the address it will be easier to track under one account. Can I do that since a different company processes the rebates or will my accounts get merged?

Is Staples phone order same as a .com order?

So I guess the best strategy to maximize rewards is to wait to accumulate lots of empty cartridges and then recycle 10 them each month for a 6 month period after spending $30 on new ink, in order to get $120 in ink rewards (issues in six $20 monthly increments), correct?

Well, they did indeed have a 10/31 expiration, so that worked out quite nicely.

Now I have another question for the high rollers: does Staples ever issue more than 2 checks per month (one for recycling one for everything else)? I already have $180 in bonus rewards this month and would really like to do the free case paper this week, but am concerned about trying to break a $260+ certificate. Has anyone had them issue more than one for an amount this large, if also doing recycling?

TIA

Recycling will always be its own check, separate from anything else.

While I have seen posts on here from people claiming they got multiple rewards checks in a month where they had a huge reward, I've never had it happen to me. I've had months where I've gotten $500 rewards...in one check.

I for certain have received bonus rewards split up over multiple checks (which is why I hoped it would continue), BUT as I thought about it more, I realized I am almost certain that only occurred back when I did not do recycling. So if one does bonus rewards only and no recycling, having the reward split is possible (or even very likely, in my experience). But if one also has the recycling check, it sounds like it's not likely to happen.

Thanks for the input.

I just want to say thanks, I use Staples a lot and have learned a lot from this forum on getting better deals.

Does anyone remember-- I'm thinking that Staples coupons not only scan 2 days after their expiration date but also at least 1 day in advance of their 'valid from' date. I'm pretty sure I used in advance.

I think the big splits occur during the holiday season (november/december) according to my rewards rep, that's when the split usually occurs (esp for batteries) but otherwise, it's a messy lump reward cert that's difficult to break
