clearcast upon a google

In fact, the published account about the “new invention” was actually a paid advertisement-designed-to-look-like-a-news-story. Clear Cast is effectively a variation on the traditional indoor UHF bow tie antenna your local Radio Shack used to sell for $1.49. The major difference is that it is designed to be attached to a window with accompanying suction cups. That is a valid approach to improving reception, but whether it is worth the asking price of $38 is another matter.

It is just an antenna. And an underwhelming one at that. Their focus is on building hype and hope that a few people bight on their $38 price tag for an antenna that costs 10X less than that. All you will be getting be over the air channels. Nothing new.....

Scam.

what a lame post. thanks for nothing.

C'mon people, give the OP a break.

Why? All's fair in love and deal hunting. If the masses think a deal stinks, they are allowed to say so. That is what this forum is all about: post what you think is a deal and people will respond accordingly. It need not (nor should not) be taken personally.

That said, a deal posted to the Free Stuff forum must be just that--free. This "deal" requires the purchase of the antenna, so it's not free. The OP deserves red for that alone, regardless of any other complaints.

This isn't even a deal for "Hot Deals". More likely belongs in "Deal Discussion". And definitely not free since you need to purchase their antennae.

I thought this was going to be yet another thread on how to get rid of cable by using the web resources to watch TV for free (See FW archives).

Ditto.

I was getting most of my "free TV" from Megaupload until recently.
