FocalPrice.com has this computer for $270. In the Q&A for this netbook, the last 2 question seem to have the RAM and HD capacity reversed. How is a 1.66GHz Atom processor compared with the regular 1.66GHz processor? Is the Atom dual core?

If this has a 160GB HD and WinXP, I assume I can load any windows software on it?

Anyone has any experience with this netbook? or PCs from FocalPrice?

I don't know whether FW will allow this link: http://www.focalprice.com/CE053W/133_TFT_Screen_Windows_XP_Atom_N455_CPU_1G_Tablet_PC_with_WiFi_and_Camera_White.html?utm_source=radica&utm_medium=EM&utm_campaign=DM_1219ZM_CE053W#Description

Is this a good deal? Or can I do better?

I would not recommend pulling the plug on this. Intel Atom N455 launched in Q2'10 so pretty dated check it at http://ark.intel.com/products/49491. I bet the casing is very cheap and prone to easy damage after some use. Overall cheap quality. You could hold down for huge price drop on 2nd gen intel processors and snap on Asus thin laptops which have reasonable reviews on them

plenty of FW reviews for focal also

It's an overpriced and outdated netbook. Specs and price would be decent if this was 2009.

I think the price is reasonable if this is asus or acer.
As far as the quality is concerned,
1.66GHz Atom processor
160GB HD
13.3' TFT screen
Supports Wi-Fi
Built-in 1.3Mega pixel camera

its quite good.

What? Do you mean you wouldn't pull the trigger (as in "don't do it"), or you would pull the plug (as in "kill it") or did you really mean you wouldn't pull the plug (as in "don't kill it")?

My bad DVDAPEX, I messed up on my idioms. I'm not gonna try to justify it but my explanation to the previous post should clarify what I really meant. I got a Asus 1005HA with Atom N280 for $280 with 2 gigs of ram in 2009 and I barely use it because its slow even with Windows 8. So this does not come close to a good deal with improvements on Atom N455 and given that its probably not acer or asus. So hell yea, gay love, I will pull the plug on this. I think the playbook is a great replacement for the netbook and its priced lower. I can just read documents and stuff on the go with a computer accessible at work and school
