Received email from Direct TV that I can now enjoy my programming on other devices via their beta streaming service. I work a 24 hr shift as a fire fighter; my first thought was that I could use a tablet with hdmi out to watch at work; or a Crome Box; or Raspberry Pi. What are y'all's thoughts on sharing DTV with friends and neighbors ? of course TOS will be honored. I'm looking for mostly hardware suggestions and discussion on when a la carte TV becomes real.

update: looks to be limited shows (no NBC,CBS etc) but all PPV are available. Sharing might not work cause friends could charge to your account.

does anyone know what will be available for streaming? limited shows and movies I assume?

i was a former DTV but have now switched to Dish Network. I can watch my Dish with iOS and Android anywhere.. DTV seems a bit behind in everything..

DTV hasn't developed anything close to the Sling, which Dish owns...
