My wife found out a few weeks ago that Comcast Xfinity has changed the basic basic cable TV channels. We used to be able to see up to about channel 080.
Now we see even less than that. Apparently we have lost the Food Network, which I guess requires a higher package to view. I think my dad says they want an extra $5 to see channels like that.
I don't subscribe to cable but have internet only. In the past (until 2-3 days ago), I can get regular OTA channels via the cable outlet. These are essentially the same free channels, but without the need for my rabbit ear. However, I stopped getting these 'free' channels now. Reading this thread makes me realize Comcast must have changed the broadcast setup that caused this.
