Here we go... a fresh list of AMEX cards w/ BVG:

American Express Financial Advisors Platinum Card
American Express Financial Advisors ONE Financial Account Gold Card
Business Gold
Business Centurion Card
Business Platinum Card
Centurion Card
Classic Optima linked to a Gold or Platinum Charge Card
Executive Business Card
Fidelity American Express Gold Card
Fidelity American Express Platinum Card
Gold Card
Optima Platinum Card
Platinum Card
Platinum Delta SkyMiles Card
Rewards Plus Gold Card
Starwood Starpoints Card

List of cars w/ BVG & *no* annual fee:

Optima Platinum Card
Any Small Business Card if you are a Costco member & apply w/ Costco's app (found in store) Link (thanks all168)
Or, any standard "Green" AMEX if you apply through Costco, ONLY the non-rewards card! And it's only free for the first year, $40 thereafter (thanks happytommy & notblake)
Starwood Starpoints Card free for one year, $30 thereafter

Platinum BVG reference.

[[ Optima Plantium - Amex's web site is confusing - in one place it does not say anything about BVG, then another link does. But everyone's TOS states this card does indeed have BVG, and CSRs have confirmed. ]] { EDIT: YES, confirmation, thanks spamkilla & ra7. }

--

If you are currently a Blue member, you may or may not have luck calling and asking them to simply switch you to the Optima Platinum. I was able to switch very easily but others have had no luck. I called the number on the back of the blue card: 888-BLUE-741

{ EDIT: AMEX Blue BVG is confirmed dead by an attemped PM by a fw member, thanks jghanisco } Has anyone actually *confirmed* that Blue no longer has BVG? Seems most of us in the other thread didn't actually try a BVG, we were just taking everyone's word for it here. By this I mean has anyone actually made a purchase w/ Blue then tried to submit a BVG for it? Seems the CSRs never get their story straight so it would be nice to get an actual confirmation from a FWer who has experience.

No more Internet BVG, confirmed via a recent statement (thanks Megatron): "For eligible Card Account Purchases made as of May 1, 2003, the Best Value Guarantee program will no longer honor lower price comparisons found on the internet. Please call 800-557-8317 to verify if your card product is eligible for this benefit."

what do you mean by ANY small business card?
i have the OPEN small business card and they specifically told me that BVG was not included with this card....it only comes with yearly fee cards

AE Link

It seems like Costco AE Business has BVG.

I have the American Express Business Purchase Account card and it has BVG.

It is free for the first year and $30 after that.

I think you may be confusing the "Platinum Card" with the Optima Platinum Card. The former is a premium card for big bucks a year. The latter is a free card. Your link to the Platinum reference page is NOT for Optima... so unless some folks are grandfather into the BVG benefit, Optima Platinum no longer has BVG as I understand it.

The original post is there, but there are no updates to it. If you update your msg, fw add a little "last edited" tagline to your msg. Come on now Alcibiades, you're a senior member 1k and I'm explaining this to you???

Blue does NOT have BVG. It used to, but they got rid of it (too many FW'ers milking the system)...

If you are a Costco member, I would call Amex and ask if you can be switched to the Costco-specific BVG card w/ no annual fee.

Yes but w/ Blue have you actually tried to submit for a BVG and had it fail?

Does the American Express Platinum cash rebate card have BVG? thanks

You forgot Costco Business Cards. It's just regular Green card with no annual fees as long as you have Costco membership and you get BVG.

What about return protection...do all these card have this feature as well?

don't you need to have business name and address to apply for the Business Costco AE Card?

and what is "Classic Optima linked to a Gold or Platinum Charge Card"?

alert mods

Since you have already have a massive base of knowledge about AMEX BVG card, could you go one step further to categorize those cards into "personal" and "Small Business" types? I know people like me would be more interested in Personal AMEX Card.
Thanks for the info, though.

No, you can use your name for business name for the Costco card.

If you link it, you also get BVG and reward points.
