I unlocked mine so that I could upload the directory from an older phones SIM card. I couldn't do this while the phone was locked.

Just use the default setting (NewGriffin.)

Make sure you use the correct network! If when you enter the unlock code (+7 or +1) you get "code error" STOP! you either have the wrong unlock code or you've entered the IMEI improperly. (unlock.nokiafree.org)

you can try to get help with the "prepaid service" provider.

i knew that when a part of att was sold to suncom, suncom helped their customer unlock their att phones.
