people need to be very carefull when trying to do this on your own cuz you can kill your phone very easily thus making it a pretty nice paperweight.
trust me, I know. |

I entered my info 4 hours back at that site. Still no email from them...
Just wondering how much time they took to send you the unlock code? |

just so everyone knows, unlocking a phone does not allow access to other gsm bands. you would also have to have a phone that is multi-band capable (ie: don't go to europe and expect to use a nokia 3390 this phone only works on the 1900 band of gsm....europe uses 900 and 1800) |

I thought someone can actually proxy/forge your phone with another phone if they have access to an IMEI number ? Is that true ? |

I just unlocked my 8390 using this program.
I got it from AT&T but never bothered signing up or inserting my sim card. How do I go about signing up w/ another service? If I insert the SIM card AT&T sent, will I be enrolled with AT&T since I did give them my info?
Thanks. |

<< If you have been a customer for a few months, just call your provider and they will do it for free and won't screw up your phone. >> Cingular won't unlock any phones. I have two friends that are reps and they couldn't get Cingular to provide unlock codes. It's some BS that Cingular has roaming partners in 38 countries and they have a contract with them so you don't need another provider's sim card. |

I don't think this program would work with the 3390 because from what I understand, you need a cable to unlock the 3390. Anybody have more insight into this? |

The sim cards go into the back of your phone, usually under your battery. so if you dont have one, you dont need this thread |

Somewhat related question (to do with cell phones etc)..
If i sign up for att wireless service, which has this 30 day risk free trial thing.. and after 10 days of signing up, or whatever, i decide i don't like it and i cancel, i get all my activation fees refunded correct? But do i have to return the phone? I would assume so..
Otherwise i'd say sign up for a new plan, cancel after 1 day, keep the phone, unlock it, sell on eBay for 250-300 (go for way high when they're unlocked) then i can get any phone i want.
But if i have to stay for 30+ days in a contract before i'm able to keep the hardware, then it wouldn't be worth it after having to pay the first monthly fees, i bet they did that 30 day risk free trial to crack down on that sorta thing |

<< I have the same S105, T-Mobile unlocked my code. I was able to use Cingular SIM with my phone in US. But when I tried in India , I tried all the Service Provider none of them worked for me. That Sales Person said "Here the frequency is different, you need to "UNLOCK FREQUENCY CODE", That guy demanded Rs2000/- to do that I bought a new phone by paying Rs5000/-. I gave that phone to my uncle when I left India.
Later I called T-Mobile they said my phone can't be used in India as the phone is not designed for that frequency ?
Does anyone have any idea ? >> hey did you change your band? cause under network selections, you have to change your band depending on what they use. i think they use GSM900/1800, and we use GSM 1900 here. i unlocked mine a while ago, and i get free internet, and i also tried an at&t sim card in mine and it worked. FOR ALL S105 PPL GO HERE. Its the best guide for everything from flashing the s105 to getting free internet. |
