This monitor is awesome, yes it pivots, adjusts up/down, and can rotate to stand on it's end for PhotoShop work...I think the warranty is 1 year, but I know it's at least 1 year, 3 if you're lucky. The $749 is as low as it ever gets these days, jump in if you want one!

If you are referring to the Entertainment coupon, that's for Dell Home, not Small Business.
isn't there a 50 off 500 Dell SB S&P entainment coupon

I thought I missed out when it was 20% off last week! I got two of my coworkers to buy it but I didn't get it - but I guess Dell had to go and make it an even better deal.
and by the way: "Non-transferable. Cannot be combined with other offers, discounts or coupons."

I wanted to use my Preferred Acct., but it wasn't an option on Small Business checkout (I can only use mine for Home purchases.) SB Rep. transferred me over to the Home division to see if they would match. Home Rep. went out of his way to try to match and he did with no tax and no shipping - $749.00

Another great deal on a 2001FP. I'd buy one if I had a little extra cash left over after my 400SC purchase, but I'm strapped at the moment.
I found a great review at Anandtech.com on the 2001FP which goes quite in depth into the technical and physical specs of this LCD. If you're thinking of buying one, be sure and read it through (with pictures of game screenshots, including Halo).
I live in chicago, and the tax is $65 for this monitor... that almost kills the deal for me. I have friends and family in nearby states and I wouldn't mind getting it delivered there if I can get around paying this tax. Does anyone know if there are any states where Dell doesn't charge any sales tax?
Sorrie.. I am not trying to promote this eBay... how can they sell it for 790 after tax and shipping? and with 3 year? >>
Some of them may get a deal similar to me, which is 699.80 shipped -- through Dell premier.

Since it's SB, then you will see tax in almost every state. The only one I know off the top of my head that doesn't charge sales tax is Delaware, I think.
Even after taxes, this deal is a good deal. I might try and see if they will match it in the Home section as well. Plenty of room on my preferred account...

Well I had a $50 off from AMEX valid for Dell Home only, but I think it's too much of a hassle to order from Home, might as well just spend my $50 GC on something else.
Can't believe this was just $799 less than a week ago! Thanks to all those other people who had their fingers crossed for another 25% off deal on the 2001FP.
Anyone have any documentation as to the 3 year warranty? (perhaps you have already received yours?)

Dude, nice - now call back and see if you can apply an entertainment.com Dellhome $50 off $500 S&P coupon.
I'm still selling them over in the FS/FT forum, but I'll give you one to try if you want - PM me.
What's the math? We can often get a Dell 4600 system for around $400. Now one LCD costs $800. Many people sure wanna spend the price of 2 systems for an LCD.
I have a bunch of Dell el cheapo 17in CRT at my work.. My eyes are getting way to stress out looking at the CRT.. NEED A BETTER MONITOR for my eyes.. that is how I am justifing spend 800 for this monitor

Wow, expensive! Planning to go to Atlantic City this weekend so I can get this for free.
BTW, anyone got a historical chart of how fast the price is dropping? i.e. Will it drop $100 in 2 months? Just curious.
Buy a lot and do not resell Premier accounts are not much different than regular ones besides a customized interface, personal qoutes that are effective, and extra e-mail offers.

To some people monitor is very if not most important part of a PC. I have for years told all of my friends / family that they should get as good a monitor as they can afford. I like to get a good monitor and keep it for a while. Comes out to 2-3 generations of PCs for each new monitor I will buy. People spending ~10 hours a day looking at a monitor screen would likely agree with me on this. tazmania99 said:

To me, a 20" monitor is a huge difference over anything smaller (17,18,19 that have 1280x1024 res) as long as its got a 1600x1200. Others who spend several hours using hi-res graphics intensive applications would probably agree.

yes i have called Dell too and i asked the specialist return person, they had no idea what I was talking about.. 600 dollars, I almost felt embrassed asking about it. I got my monitor for 699.75. Soo it is not too bad, and did not receive any dead pixels. I got the December 2003 Model. and I am really impressed by quality of the monitor. I played a couple of FPS games and I can almost say it comes really close to my Samsung CRT D955 monitor (19" w/o the SIZE and weight. I compared it side by side and my goodness, THE CRT was HUGE compared to my new 2001 fp.
I love the monitor, now time to figure out a way to pay for it.. ahhaha.
I have took some pictures of the monitor w/ my xbox.. also.. the monitor is really not that great as far as graphics goes, because it is like "screen door" effect even on COMPOSITE input..
