Well I for one am not, I havent even bought anything from him. I am currently sleeping on the Ashley Cooper memory foam topper from Boscov's that I found from a deal posted here. I have had a great experience with it and my wife and I are looking to get a new King size bed (we have a queen) and went out and tried a Tempurpedic and loved it but hated the price . Thats when I started researching online for an alternative. If Ematress is a better deal or better mattress at a similar pricwe I would be more that happy to get it. I wouldnt start accussing people of advertising a site here, it looks to me more like a group of people that want to make an informed decision when makeing a $1000 purchase.

Also has any one had any experience with the Carpenter's "Perfect Pillow", I was thinking of getting that for my wife because she doesnt like the shape of the Tempurpedic style pillows.

I am the one who s trying to buy a queen mattress and want to know the best place to get. I asked emattress.com, they are telling $779 for an 8" queen mattress(with resilent base not latex with 10 year warranty as opposed to 20 years) which is more price than others. So, looking out for options. Mark's 1/2 price is a kit and the complete sleep shop is assembled, so thinking whichone to choose.

Why dont you see if you can find a deal at a dealer close to you. Either way the memory foam is the way to go, I love mine. One note if you can find one with a wool cover thats the way to go because the foam sleeps hot. By the way I found out the maker of sensus foam only warranties the foam for 10 years so be weary of bogus 20 or 30 year warranties. Does any one think any of theses companies will be aruond that lond?

You are right, the warranty of 10 years is fine. I don't think, we will be able to use the wrranty beyond that. But, I searched in the local shops, they are telling high prices. So, trying in the internet. But, another way to go is doing price match in local shops. Anyone have an idea on where we can do price match and get a memory foam mattress for the same price as we see on eBay?

This topic still baffles my mind..

I'm actually looking for something for my parents, they both have bad backs, both have had back surgeries. They need something firm but comfortable. So I'm looking at maybe a 4" 5lb topper (Sensus?) and then a 6" latex base?? I really don't know here, this is just what it seems like. On top of that I'd need a zip up mattress bag to keep the 2 of them together, right?

What does all of this rest on then? Can they just use their current box spring and put this big thing on top of it?

Thanks for the help here guys.. I appreciate it!

This is from Marks forums

"Inexpensive foundations can be found at any local sleep shop. A foundation looks just like a box spring except it doesn't have any coils in it. A foundation is primarily a wood box with a cover on it. These foundations are best for foam sleep systems because they keep any motion transfer from occurring. The normal price for a king pair is from $119-$199 depending on who you purchase them from."

they seem to be available at most local sleep shops, it is better to get it there as the shipping on them is as much at the foundation itself.

I am still looking for people that have bought from Mark's, Either the Hemmingway mattress (resilitex and sensus), or the Carpenter's "Perfect Pillow", or Queen Duo Foamex Sensus Pillow . I want to buy in the next week so I hope to get some feedback before I pull the trigger

I have purchsed the Sensus king size pillow and 2 seat cushions (non sensus). I also have, from different sources, a 3lb memory topper resting on a JC Penney polyurethane base and several different versions of pillows. The "Perfect Pillow" may not be for you. It has the regular dimensions of a regular pillow (including thicker middle) and this just doesn't make sense with memory foam. I am happiest with 2 pillows the Sensus king and another, thinner, brand purchased from bb&b (I can't remember the name, not Tempurpedic, the other one) All I can say is whenever I go to bed I get pleasant memories. The previous poster with shoulder aches can not go wrong with a minimum 3" pad on top of a foam base and a Sensus kink pillow (any other pillow might be too thin). Back pains and/or back sleeping would require the firmest pad for the best support. I get 0 pain from my combo.

Nope, not yet. but I am looking into it. I am trying to decide if I want the resilitex core or latex core, and a 3" sensus topper or a 4" sensus topper, If I get the 4" senses I will have to try to find a cover for it somewhere else because they only carry 9' covers and with the 2 3" cores under a 4" sensus it will be a 10" mattress.

I have said it before, i dont work for Mark's , i dont know Mark and ive never spoken to mark (except for a question he answered for me in his forum).I probably will be going with his store because of the prices and his knowledge of the products. I have been searching around for a couple of months but keep going back to his site.

AND I aready responded to you on this here!

So now tell us EADVSS what mattress did you get from emattress, what are the layers, what was the price, and what are the pros and cons about buying from them. I am open to any deal or better quality. But to say "They were in money magazine because of it" is not a selling point for me.

i bought the queen 10 inch tempus (4" sensus 6" lx foam) when they had it on special 899. i went with the wool cover, which i thought was a gimmic at first to get more money, but im glad i did because you sink into the foam so it sleeps hot. i would definately recommend wool

I am still wondering whether to buy from mark's store or from other store in eBay, as the other stores are offering for less price. Thinking, whether they are reliable or not. Do anyone purchased from any store in eBay other than Mark's? As I siad earlier, I am looking to buy a 10" queen memory foam mattress with either latex or resilient base.

I've got a Carpenter's Perfect Pillow, though not from Mark's. At first, I did not like it, as much as I tried to give it a chance. I'm a fairly big guy, so when sleeping on my side, my shoulder-to-neck distance puts my head pretty far off the bed...and I had to double the pillow over to get comfortable support (as someone has since said, the perfect pillow is a standard pillow shape...but it is about 80% size of my other regular pillows).

Now, it is my favorite pillow, but honestly, I think that is because I am consistently exhausted when I go to sleep (hehe...grad school this year )...and I've become a back sleeper instead of a side/stomach sleeper. Or maybe I'd sleep fine on a brick, who knows.

The foam material in the pillow is nice...its 3.3lb, i think...and it is good for a pillow. ILD is ok too...some give, but not too much. It does get more indentable as it gets warmer, which i find kind of annoying, but then, ideal sleeping temp for me is pretty cool.

To sum it up, I'd give the pillow a 7/10. Better than a cheapo regular pillow, but I'm sure you can find a better memory foam pillow out there for similar price...personally, I'd probably try the Sensus. That said, the Perfect Pillow would kick ash in a pillow fight, given the good whomping shape and mass of this pillow...may even rank up there with those formidable feather pillows...

EADVSS,
What did you buy in emattress.com, is t a set or only a mattress. Does the pillws are also included in that? I am curious, if yours is a good price, I wil call and ask them for the same price.

FoamByMail on eBay is a LOT cheaper. $400 delivered for 8" Temperpedic (ahem, Sensus) 3"+5" mattress, anywhere in the US.

4" memory foam alone is about $161 + $33 shipping for queen as well if you have a good base to put it on.

10-15 yr warranties too.

Yes, I saw foambymail is lot cheaper, but I doubt about the quality. The base foam could be developed by carpenter, for which the Mark's store is giving only a 5 year warranty. The other store in eBay with similar price is memoryfoamoutlet, they made the base with carpenter, stll give 20 year warranty, which I doubt. I feel, resilient or latex base will come for longtime. Does anybody have bought a mattress from any of these stores and be satisfied? Does anyone bought a kit from Mark's store? I heard some stores send the foam as a roll, which will expand after unpacking. Does anyone got like that?
EADVSS, I want to know, when you buy the mattress from emattress, does that include foundation too?
