Too bad the original thread was locked to get this one more attention. kivichio even went to the trouble to post information on the different laptop choices. People won't be as likely to read it now. Nevertheless, thank you kivichio for the extra effort. I wish the mods recognized that.
edit: yay! |

Thanks. Refuse it Thank you, but could you tell in little detail? Never did it before. Shall I just tell UPS man I do not accept the package, and it will be go back to Dell, and they will refund me the $? Thanks. Sure, or you can accept it, call Dell and they will give you a courtesy credit to keep it. |

oh my god!
I hate that i jumped on $500 deal lastweek. I should have resisted to my temptation at that time. Let me going to wait this time and see whether I see any $1000 rebate in another month or so.
If you notice Dell deal recently, it was August they had $250 off. Then in Oct $500 off and $750 off. So my maths tell me DEC that i should expect $1000 and $1250 deal C'mon guys/gals. Let's wait. it shall pass |

Does anyone know how much Dell charges for return? On their website, they said: "Once your system has been received back to Dell, you will receive credit on the full system price (excluding shipping & handling) on your next billing cycle. The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the system back to Dell."
Anyone has experience? |

I believe I read somewhere they give you 30 days unconditional (or whatever ) returns. But they charge you 15% restocking fee if you opened the box + got to pay for the shipping. But my friends mentioned that you could easily get away with that by little coersion in talking to CSR. For desktop it is 21 days, and notebooks 1 month.

If you call Dell to make any changes at all to your order, before or after it ships, it will very likely cancel your Cash Back through FatWallet. We lose the commission, therefore, your Cash Back is reversed.
Just a friendly reminder with all the deals that are going on right now. |

Dell is emptying consumer wallets before actual holiday season. Trying to extract the money from consumers before they could spend elsewhere.
