For every car sold someone is going to have a problem. So this happens.

By the way, what are you getting out of all of this? You doin' penance for your car selling days? lol. Sorry for getting' off topic but just wondering. Anyway, thanks again.

LMAO....I believe in this site. The only way its gonna work is if everybody contributes. So I'm doing my part. Brodcasting my pirate signal

For the one looking for the Mazda3... Call Mazda's 800 number and follow prompt for customer service.

They have a special 800 number that will help you locate the car based on how you want it. They'll also know what would also be coming as well.

This is based on the same sytem as the web site. So if the dealers are playing tricks you wont know

Hey Mr Blackpcs2,

I was in the market for a new acura tl 2005. I wanted this car in the base model with the only upgrade being 18in rims that cost 1800. Here is the link of the car from edmunds.com
link

My zip code is 91745. Is there any way to get this for invoice after tax and title.

Please expand my mind,

Rich

You may be able to find the rims online and purchase them seperate, as oppose to financing another 1800

Mrblackpcs2,

First of all, thanks for your very informative and helpful posts. I'm currently in the market for a loaded 2005 Lincoln Navigator Ultimate 4x4 in Black MSRP 64,695, Invoice 56,700, TMV 57,780 (not including a current $2000.00 cash rebate).

I am in zip code 11023.

Here is a link to the car:

Navigator Link

2005 Lincoln Navigator
Ultimate 4WD 4dr SUV (5.4L 8cyl 6A)
MSRP Invoice National Base Price TMV $56,955 $49,931 $51,062
Regional Adjustment for Zip Code 11023 Change - - -$168
Optional Equipment $6,945 $5,974 $6,106
58X Lincoln Premium Audio w/ Integrated Navigation System and THX Audio $2,995 $2,576 $2,633
91V Rear Seat Entertainment System $1,415 $1,217 $1,244
62H Monotone Appearance Package $995 $856 $875
64B 18" Chrome Aluminum Wheels $695 $598 $611
59H HID Lamps $495 $426 $435
536 Class III/IV Trailer Tow Package $350 $301 $308
21L Leather 40/20/40 Split Bench Rear Seat $0 $0 $0
Color Adjustment - - -$15
Black Clearcoat
Destination Charge $795 $795 $795
Total with Options $64,695 $56,700 $57,780
Incentives & Rebates -$2,000
Customer Cash Adjusted True Market Value $55,780
----------------------------------------------------------------
Alternatively, I have access to Ford X-Plan pricing through my company which allows me to get the above car for $56,000.00 not including the 2000 cash rebate which would bring the price down to $54,000.00 after rebate. This price appears to surprisingly be below invoice for the car....

Would appreciate any insights you could offer on my chances of beating the x plan pricing on this car through straight negotiations. As you may know, one of the caveats/terms on the x plan pricing require you to advise the dealership upfront that you want x plan pricing (i.e. you are "not supposed" to negotiate and then later if you can't get a better price, advise them that you have access to the x plan pricing). Thanks again for your thoughts.

Thanks again for this great thread.

Steve

Ah sorry, Would it be possible to get this car for invoice + t/t out the door. We have 6.25% tax here.

I am shopping for a 2005 BMW 330i, automatic with premium, sports, and cold weather package. Accordign to edmunds.com:
MSRP = 42,545
Invoice = 39,000
TMV = 37,977

I also find out there is a deal incentive of $4200. For where I live Tax is 8.75% and Tag = $275.

So, using the strategy posted in this thread, should I expect to pay 34,800 OTD (that is invoice with T/T minus the dealer incentive)? That sounds low to me so I want to know if I make mistake in my math. Please help. Thanks.

This is really a general question, but I didn't want to open a can of worms in the "how to negotiate..." thread about leasing unless you really wanted to field those types of questions.

Anyway, I am really green to the whole idea of leasing and was just curious if haggling over the price of a car for lease is an acceptable practice?

Thanks.

This would be welcomed here. Its very important to negoatiate the price of the car first before getting into leasing or finance terms. A car leased at invoice will have lower payments than a car leased at msrp.

Ask your questions...I'll be happy to cover this. Thanks for refocusing us.

The number you want in your head is 37, 977 + tax/tags out the door.

Why are you trying to negotiate an x plan? Aslo are you serious about paying 54k for a gator? So much to choose from in this price range.

I was curious if it is possible or likely to straight negotiate a better price on this car than the x-plan price. I'm looking for a larger SUV for the family. What large SUV do you prefer in this price range? Escalade, QX-56 ?

Thanks.

The Yukon is cheaper and gets better CS reports. Suburban too.
