Got it thanks, added your ValueMax link too. Yeah, I don't mind splitting the threads into two since applepare's is quite active and people are used to communicating there while using my thread as a repository of information.
I just know that when I started out (as did many others over the years have) there was so much disjointed information out there on these great programs. FW gives us the ability to consolidate this, but since it's such an octopus of programs that we ever changing the target, it's that much harder to maintain. We'll see how long I'll be able to keep it up (with everyone's support of course!) |

You can use Amazon GC as payment for Amazon and 3rd party payments, that's the beauty of it all. If you're in a high Tax state like cali, it's even better. People have bought ipods without problems, but I don't know about notebooks, etc.
Best way via dealpass purchase is wait until next week (midmonth). Mass signup to as many programs with Amazon as possible (confirm they are in stock still by asking). It'll take 5-7 programs depending on your final needs/total.
A can use another credit card if you need to as long as it's under a separate name, but that's getting into the 'grey' zone of the T+C on what the definition of 'household' is. I'd suggest an box# in line 2 for added argument if they ever contest that (they haven't with me, but I never had two programs simultaneously going to the same address). If you're not in a hurry, you can accomplish this in two months, or find a friend who's willing to sport you his card and address. |

Montreid thanks for your suggestions.
You mentioned "signing up for as many programs within Amazon - usually 5 to7", what does signing up to programs mean? Are these gift certificates in $500.00 increments to certain Amazon departments? That aren't checked when used?
As to the purchasing of GC's, I can use both my own credit card and my Fiance. I keep my credit card under my business address.
My Fiance use her last name and uses our house for her credit cards. That could work.
Does dealpass offer any refunds, if this doesn't work? It seems that I'll have to apply a few gift cards to pay for $3000.00 to $4000.00 worth of Apple computer equipement.
Am I correct that the deal pass gift cards only come in limited denominations?

Amazon GC work as one department, no limits to a single department. They come in $25 increments and then simply add the GC code into your account under "my account" or during the checkout process, it doesn't matter. Amazon remembers it on their server. Most dealpass programs are $500 limits in to each retailer (24+ offers $750), so you'll have to get ~7 programs enrolled to get to $3500. I don't think there are 7 different programs offering Amazon, thus you'll have to use a separate account to get them all..

Good luck on that one! |

A dumb question, for joining the Main Street Savings, do I have to have a Household Bank credit card? |

No, even though it's sponsored by household, no restrictions on which credit card used (no AMEX on MSS though). |

I guess I am blacklisted by all programs from membershipme.com (I only joined once with my home address). I have tried most of programs and using different name, phone, credit cards, etc. It does not work (it will give me some kind of error message with error code I could not remember after I clicked submit) unless I change the address. I used my sister's address and it called me said this address does not match the one registered with my credit card and canceled my account. Anyone got the same problem? I still can not figure out how to by pass this problem. Any help or comment is appreciated. If nothing works out I guess only thing I can do is join Everydayvaluesgold since I got the citi card or join something else not offered by membershipme.com. |

You could try calling the headquarters and see what is the issue since you only did it once to clarify the situation. Ask for the resolutions department/billing department on the error reading. I would use a valid name/address/cc (household bank on MSS is probably easiest to confirm) and clear whatever error reading. Household bank is the sponsor bank to a lot of 'store' VISA/MC: GM Card, Target are just two of them. |

Are you sure about this? It says explictly the $5 charge back will occur at the end of the month to your Household CC. So I can use any Visa/MC CC to sign up? Have you done this yourself? I would really like to take advantage of this. Much Thanks! |

Just like to update that Amazon.com is back at Today's Escape. Not something I use but some of you might like to know.
Also, who got Safeway? I don't see it in the OP's list. |
