I joined AHR about 1 month ago and I requested the free $25 lowes gift card form right after I joined. However, i haven't received the form yet... I called the rep, she told me that i should receive it in my email within 24 hrs, but i never did. I don't think she is correct, since i had always filled out the form that they sent to me via mail, then mailed it back for the free $25 gift card... anyone has similar experience?

Anyone ever try using a 10% off coupon from Home Depot at Lowes or the other way around? Just wanted to know if this works.

spread sheet to track updated when I get a chance
partial cards are wrapped with the purchase receipt until they can be sharpied with the remaining balance (cant quite get the hang of always having a sharpie with me)

I do these things, too

I'll try the check box, and also probably check out the business card binder idea from Dweick on my next visit to OfficeMax (GCs courtesy of MBNA program).
Spreadsheet, two tabs:

First tab:
Row 1: program names
Column 1: fees paid, promos received, CC CashBack, totals purchased, followed by store names, and totals in the last column.

Second tab, by column: Order date, ship date, recv date, products (explained later), quantity, price, notes.
The product column: each row contains the store name, last row looks like this: program abbreviation (order number if avail): store names listed. Then I collapse the order, sum up the totals, and fill in the dates all in the same row.

Hope this isn't too confusing.

edit: forgot to mention -- I keep the cards to the same store together, bound by a rubberband. Then I just pack those yellow envelopes with stacks of cards.

That's almost the exact way I do it but I use 4 tabs.

I use a card box (like baseball size) to store my gift cards in. Works great.

I guess I'm more anal than you guys... I have a separate tab by store, then summarize by reference... Just gotta be careful when inserting rows.

I even track usage for the most part.

Maybe I'll clean it up (remove personal info) and post it, if anyone wants to see something by a "new member" (with 100 posts and my anniversary coming up in a couple weeks).

I also need to find a better filebox. I use the kind that is for the bigger size index cards, but it kinda becomes unwieldy when you have a couple grand of cards in it.

Gotta look into the "baseball card sized" box.

*I am looking at all you members in awe*

thank you thank you thank you. sniff. I can't believe that I have not checked into this earlier. Must have spent 5K in electronics and "stuff" over the last couple of years and I could have easily saved 20% (well I did use the fatwallet deals/coupons to make the purchases but...)

All I had to do was go to the link begging thread and join the program. you guys rock!

Joined PTF yesterday and SE and was so excited about the program that I ordered from PTF even before I checked SE *sigh*. I like the options from SE more than PTF and would like to continue subscribing to it. Any advice? I only got 7 days trial membership from both. I don't want to bet on the fact that when I call to cancel, I'll be offered the year plan. hmm. I think I'll subscribe to both ptf and SE for the first month. Order cards (max) from PTF that are common to both PTF and SE and cancel after first month subscription. Use SE for future depending on how many cards I need and cancel accordingly.

For members who posted tips on organising the cards, a big thank you. I am glad I didn't throw away the business card organiser that I purchased when I started working

For the diligent members who help out others, thank you for your answers. I am still clueless as to the program that offers HomeDepot / Lowes. I'll keep reading the thread.

Could anybody tell me which programs offer Lowe's GCs? I have a houshold bank (GM Card) Card as well as a Citibank card, so I believe I should qualify for most programs, but want to know what I am looking for before I call them and ask about these programs.

I see that there part of the following programs, but are there any others?
Shopping Esentials
HW+
AHR

Thanks in advance.

reminder to new comers.. if you signed up thru a link that offers gift card for signing up, remember to request the gift card ASAP. that way you can usually get your gift card (the free one) in the mail in 2 months. so, if you are thinking about signing up for the program, maximize the benefits and cancel right away, why not stay in the program for 1 additional month and the free 25 dollars gift card should cover that 1 additional month of membership fee for you =)

MSS 500, HW+ 500, 24+ 750, FTS 250, AHR 500: These have nothing to do with what credit cards you have.

MyBuySmart 2500 (providian)

MBNA protector 125 (MBNA)

Finally I have 2000+ for trading

The thread does contain a lot of info. Found and joined HW+ (for Lowes) but I still haven't recieved my membership number. I think it probably takes a day at most.

Call the number (found on page 1) and then I think it is option 1. Then select to enter by using your phone number. It will then tell you the Membership number.

call the 1800 or 1866 #, select 1, and then 2, type in your phone #, and then automated system will read you your membership ID #

I want to cancel the buysmart program on my Providian Paypal credit card. But since I did not get any package from them telling me what my A/c number is, I am unable to use their website http://www.mybuysmart.com/

Is there a customer service # that I can call? Please help. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I just joined AHR, StarClub, & GA. I'd like to post an updated list of the retailers currently (as of 12/5/05) available. Is it ok to do that here or not? I've read the FAQ for this thread as well as most of the thread too, but I haven't seen a list more recent than October. I haven't read the WHOLE thread and I don't think I will. Sorry, I just don't have time to read 160 page thread, but I would like to help out by posting an update.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks.
