link?

not sure if they will call the new one 800M or 710M. This will be a great computer if only 2.9lb and 13" screen, never see a computer this light with 13"

buy the cheapest memory config you can and upgrade yourself, sell the spare parts on Fleabay

Actually it is half of that. Because the coupon takes 50% off.

ummm not really. just because you're using a 750/1500 coupon doesn't mean you're only paying $75 for the memory upgrade...unless you don't want anything else as an upgrade and you only need it to get to 1500...

yeah thats what i was thinking, 2.8lbs + 13" seems impossible.

Inspiron 700m Qty 1
Intel® Pentium® M Processor 725 (1.60 GHz/400MHz FSB)12.1-in WXGA, Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Unit Price $1,536.00
Memory 512MB DDR SDRAM 2 Dimms
Hard Drive 60 GB Hard Drive 60GB
CD ROM/DVD ROM 8x CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer write capability
Wireless Networking Card Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200 Internal Wireless
Primary Battery 65 WHr 8-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery 8BAT [310-5292] 27
Limited Warranty, Services and Support 1Yr Ltd Warranty
FYI if you dont konw that 8 cell primary battery for the 700m adds weights and makes the notebook bigger, its not a battery that fits into the compartment but adds onto the back
. I do know and it is still better. The 4 cell has a short fuse. I have tried them both many times. It only sticks out an extra 3/4 inch.

. actually, I like the 9300 model much better, as it is just built better, runs faster and has better video upgrades. But it runs more than $1500 well eqipped, so this coupon isn't that good for it.

Wait wait wait... I am confused.
So, what you're saying is that even this is "Primary Battery", it still "Sticks out", not like regular battery shaple, but hold longer time?
This is not good.

What are the E-Value Codes?

alert mods

the lightest notebooks are low 4lbs. i dont think you will ever see a 2.9 lb notebook x_X though you never know........... i would've believed the 13" notebook called 800m or whatever if you had made the weight more reasonable. I would have just thought, oh maybe they are trying to get some of the market that the apple ibook 12" are getting.

Nano-technology man. It will comes...but you have to buy what you want now first.
I think the next one will be 14.1" widescreen to catchup with Compaq V2000.

alert mods

Yea I would like a 14" widescreen like compaq's as well. 15.4 is too big. 12.1 is too small.

alert mods

I was waiting for this one. Thanks Op

fatcool said:Now they got in to the habit of pulling this once in a while. Since the discount is from the full inflated price..there is not much of a thrill after while...

Yeah. This's getting old... come on D3ll, what else u've got?

alert mods

It seems that Dell is offering 750$ coupon every week. Why do not they just lower their price. )

alert mods

Expect 10,000 uses to be gone in about 45 minutes.

alert mods

Well, the Toshiba Portege R100 is a 12.1" laptop weighing 2.4 lbs. So 13" and 2.8 lbs might not be impossible after all.
