kaikkk01 said:Really!? I was plan to get 8 cell... anyone has picture of the 8 cell battery?. Dell does. Honestly, get the 8-cell for the 700m and live with it. The 4-cell goes for a little over an hour when I use it. I like the screen at max brightness, the drives spinning and the cpu cooking.
. OP, where did you find out about this? Even though the page is on their site, there is no link to it on their site. |

8 cell battery is definetely better and does not make computer size bigger! I have 8-cell battery, and my friend has the standard one, and they both are exactly the same size. Only difference is 8 cell lasts longer! But 700M's has a really bad battery compartment design, it makes computer larger no matter which battery it has. Anyways, for this computer, 8-cell battery doesn't change appearance or size, but provides a better battery life. I have no idea about the weight though. |

WRONG. true for 6000 and 9300, but definitely wrong for 700m.
Do some research before posting crap. |

The deal is way worse than the 700 off 1699 last friday in Dell SB.
- Inspiron 6000 Intel® Pentium® M Processor 715 (1.50 GHz/2MB Cache/400MHz FSB) - Display 15.4 inch UltraSharp WSXGA+ LCD Panel - Memory 256MB Shared DDR2 SDRAM 1 Dimm - Video Card Integrated Intel® Media Accelerator 900 Graphics - Hard Drive 40GB Hard Drive - Operating System Microsoft® Windows® XP Home - Network Card Integrated 10/100 Network Card and Modem - CD/DVD Drives 8x CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer write capability 8XDVDRW - Wireless Networking Cards Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200 Internal Wireless (802.11 b/g, 54Mbps) - Battery 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery (53 WHr) - Spare Battery 9-cell Lithium Ion Battery (80 WHr) Additional Battery - Dell Service & Support Plans 50% OFF! 3 Yr On-site Business Mobility Plan after $184 Mail-in Rebate - Mail- In Rebate $100 Mail In Rebate
This was for ~700 b4 tax AR, with upgraded screen and dvd-+RW + 3 years service and a 9-cell spare baterry, with the potential of making another 80 from baterry on eBay, geting an extra 70 from the adverticed discounted baterry (see the thread) and sell back the 3 year warranty to Dell (cost was 384!)
So you do the math |

I would have just thought, oh maybe they are trying to get some of the market that the apple ibook 12" are getting.
It's not 13", but Dell already has 2.5lbs notebook (external CD) with 12" screen.
I also saw very thin sony vaio line, but can't find it anymore

The IBM X series is under 3 lbs for some configurations with up to 10 hours battery life and a full size keyboard to boot. Makes the 700m look like a turd. |

This deal is about $100 better in options than the October 750 off.
I have a 700m from the last deal. I want a 6000 now. Next time I'll get the 9300. Then I can have the whole collection. Should be worth more as a complete collection which I'll sell on fleabay to all those chumps who buy from illegitimate resellers. =D |

I think the only possibility for the OP to get the information is that the OP is the employee of D3ll, which is the main sponsor of Fatwa11et. Wanna bet? |

Agree, about $100 before coupon. Therefore, $50 better. |

What are you talking about? October deal last year? It's like 7 months ago and computers can depreciate values a lot in 7 months. |

Hmmmm it seems like they keep changing the coupon code. Will all of the given coupon codes work? Or only the most updated one they decide to stick with. |
