Read the spec. It has HDTV inputs and NTSC tuner. I guess it is HDTV ready.

If this is indeed the Proview model that will be on sale, I've Googled a MAG unit with the exact same model number as the Proview, leading me to believe that one makes the TV for the other. Does anyone have an ideas?
I too saw this add and was planning on hoping on it when the set comes out. Now that it is posted on Fatwallet, I'm afraid they will run out of them the minute they open. Would it be possible to buy it early, then bring the coupon in to get credited? I would love to have the set now anyway...

Can I get this if I join Costco now? Or do I need to get the coupon somehow?
I saw the Sceptre 37: LCD with 1920x1080 (aka 1080p) for $1699.99 from Costo's coupon (Aug. 22 - Aug. 28). Does any one have info./review on this one? How does this Sceptre compared to the Proview? I know they are different size/resolution/etc. but would the Sceptre be worth the extra money? Thanks in advance.

If you sign up in the store right now you can get the coupon booklet at the sign up desk. But hurry in because their supplies are limited and on a FCFS basis.

I got the 30" spectre at costco (http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=10041690&whse=BC&topnav=&cat=3316&hierPath=79*3316*) for the same price awhile back when they had the $100 online coupon... should I return it and get this?
If someone gets the actual specs and posts them I think I'll have to swap!

I have never had a problem getting the coupon discount, even without a coupon.

And why would you ever pay a nonmember surcharge of $50 when the membership fee is $45?!?
Plus, you can have $10 discount for a membership.

The coupon or the monitor is on a FCFS basis? I guess the potential risk is spending $45 to join then not being able to get the monitor if they're out.

Membership is limited to certain society members. OR used to be anyway, professionals, teachers, etc.

I've heard good things about Sceptre. I'm more interested in the 37" because 4:3 material is equivalent to a 30" set, whereas the 32" is a 26", and that's a big difference. It's also about 30% larger in anamorphic modes than the 32". This is just rough math, but should be accurate.
However, it is $800 more, and for that, you could get another HDTV

Most store won't PM to Costco since it is a MEMBERSHIP club and you have to pay a fee to join. YMMV, PM if you can find a place that will do it.

And the purpose is?
To allow private individuals, for a nominal fee, to get the same deals as bulk purchasers. That's pretty obvious to everyone else.

The Costco I went to gave me all kinds of problem when i wanted to return it without a receipt. They gave me this and that, blah blah blah. Which Sharp AQUO did you get?
MasterX said: I retuned mine yesterday after doing a sid-by-side with my Toshiba projection HDTV, the Proview was horrible and only seemed to get worse as time went by. I picked up the 32" Sharp Aquos. Yeah, a lot more money at $1499 but it was well worth the extra money. The Sharp has more inputs and the picture is so much better. There is no comparison on picture quality in HD and SD. There are also a lot more setting to adjust in the Sharp and one other small benefit, I can controll it with my Cable box remote. Bye, bye extra remote.
The good thing is I could not find my receipt and Costco gave me no problem and because of that they probably made more profit on my upgrade. They have a customer for life.
