OfficeMax Weekly AD just up on line.

First Page advertized as $39 with original price of $139. Not sure if there is a rebate or not. But looks like after $100 Instant Rebate.

SKU. 20850018 Search in OfficeMax and it shown "in store only" so can't get more detail on this.

Thank fvfquaker for posting the $15 off $75 Business Visa Coupon LINK any more.

If you have $10 off $30 Physical coupon, then you can get $10 off.

If you want to use $15 off $75 Visa Coupon, then YMMV since I am not sure if it has rebate or not to push it over $75.

I have $15 off $75 and $15 off $50 and $10 of $30 three different physical coupons so OK for me. -

My 1119th post so please be nice.

Update: Just noticed it has Ethernet Connection so you can directly plug it into your router to access it as a File Server??? If so, that it is pretty hot me! -

Hot! Gotta use my $10 off $30 coupon! Thanks OP

Thank you! I love Fatwallet where we share information with each other. -

The business visa coupon is for purchases over $75, so you might want to adjust that from the your title with drive being at $39. You might want to add YMMV, since this drive may be hard to find now after the $70 rebate had expired last month. And I'm not sure what rebate you're referring to with the $39 AR, since it's instant rebate!

Nice paying attention to Details! Was thinking it would be nice to have you do my taxes, that's if you know how

Sorry. I updated the title and post to reflect. I was too excited to notice that.

Guess $29.99 for me with $10 off $30 Coupon they mailed to me.

Without coupon, it is at best luck warm for Hardcore Fatwalletor like me. -

Actually I am an accoutant.-

hunter777 said: Just looked over ad & that was only item that might be a hot deal. Like u said, no details coming up so we don't know the cache buffer. Often if it doesn't say 8 or higher, it means only 4.

Here in this auction it states 2mb :(

Still worth the buy if you have the $10 off coupon!

reminbi2000 said: Just noticed it has Ethernet Connection so you can directly plug it into your router to access it as a File Server???

that's the beauty of this drive device...

on the downside: it seems that only one PC on the network can have read and write access at one time

Think I'm gonna buy two now 1 for work and one for home Thanks again OP! You rock!!!!!!

Hot! I was about to post it. OP beats me by a few minutes.

Thanks OP. In for a few. the box with round 120gb sticker is actually 160gb, this one is a keeper.

I'm not seeing this in my zip code. What zip is it showing in the ad?

NEVERMIND. FOUND IT. Was looking at the wrong week

From Ximeta's website.

9. Can multiple users access the drive at the same time?

Yes, multiple users can access NetDisk at the same time.

With NetDisk driver version 3.x, the multi-write feature allows numerous users simultaneous Read and Write access to the NetDisk.

***This is for Windows 2000/XP/2003 only. For Mac, multi-write drivers are currently under development.

With other Operating Systems, only one computer can have Read/Write access at a time.
All computers can have Read Only access simultaneously.

thanks OP, good job! although this drive is supposed to be on sale starting from Sunday, my previous experience was that the price could be effective starting from Saturday. Will give it a try today, otherwise tomorrow might be too late.

Can you buy it now and pricematch tomorrow or is there rebates involved?

davevt98 said: Can you buy it now and pricematch tomorrow or is there rebates involved? excellent idea! the bottom line is return & rebuy.

According to the FAQ drive is upgradeable to 250gb!

Not a very good review by a blogger, The Pink Chimpanzee, from this past March.

Here are the frequently asked questions from the Netdisk web site.

FAQs

I haven't decided whether to pull the trigger tomorrow or not. There is no rebate, so you could buy 2 to use the $15 Visa coupon.

Thanks for the review and FAQS. After reading the FAQS, I will pass on this one.

Note that the $15 off $75 Business Visa Coupon is YMMV for in store. I have frequently run in high school drop out OM Managers (yes, managers) that refuse the coupon for sale items because the price is already reduced. As I'm sure you all know, making a case with an unintelligent person is next to impossible.

Yep, they hate me at my om Never the less getting a super deal is not a challenge sometimes either?

Bought some today, will return/rebuy tomorrow.

Thanks OP! This is a great price for an instant rebate. Maybe we can find it with a MIR at another store and PM it to OM...

None in East Brunswick. But you can get a raincheck on these right?

SInce the instant savings is like a coupon in the OM Register, stores are instructed to not use coupon... Sometimes the coupons work, and sometimes they pt it back to regular price, and then the coupon is the instant savings.

NO

duh.. it is clearance

Maybe some stores wouldn't know that there was already an instant rebate and would take Staples coupons. The OM store near me does.

Anyone know if it is easy to switch the drive out with a larger one?

As I'm sure you all know, making a case with an unintelligent person is next to impossible.More often than not, I have problems getting past the cute and unbuttoned bloused female cashiers that take it upon themselves to impose store policies like no one else..I believe they get a kick out of verbally declaring policies which while doing so (and so they think) elevates them to Manager status. Once you put them in their place, the phone's picked up and the high school dropout is summoned. Thats when trouble really begins. I am beginning to get a hang of these stores. You need to be in high school to become a cashier. And then you need to dropout which results in you becoming a store manager..What a travesty !! Wonder how you state this glorious transition on your resume !!

Uh, pop open case, remove power and ata cable, rinse, lather and repeat.

can't resist the low price. It says 2mb/8mb buffer.Do you guys know what it means?

darksine said: None in East Brunswick. But you can get a raincheck on these right?

thanks for the info, now i don't have to waste a trip down there

crap. i used all my instore OM coupons at Office Depot this week getting all their goodies (read printers). guess it is 40 for me.

Thanks for the deal OP!
I bought one of these on the last deal (search forums for Ximeta). My hard disk was giving me problems so I used this for a backup drive and the first one did crash!

You do have to install drivers for each computer that uses this as a network drive. I had no problems setting it up as a networks drive, all of my computers had the H: drive show up. The only bug I have found is that my Dell laptop does not want to hibernate sometimes with the netdisk going.

Otherwise it has worked great (especially at that price). I am happy with it.

I just picked one up. Tried to get the cashier to reduce the price early but she wouldn't go for it. Will try to pricematch tomorrow with a printout of the circular. However, can anyone read what the circular says for the original price of the unit? Mine was $139 in the store today. Also, my SKU doesn't match what the OP posted originally either. Hopefully I have the right unit, can anyone confirm? Am hoping the rebate will be instant...if not I may just return the unit altogether.
