I have not driven it, but have seen it. I asked for their best price over the phone and they told me $25,900

I got another internet quote for $24,492for a 2003 with 14,000 miles. Is $22,000 too much? Their final offer is 23,469 plus tax title. So, I guess they are out of the running.

Very nice of you to offer your help here! I'm hoping I post this in the proper format... I wanted to know what a good price would be for this car. There is also another one - with the same equipment/mileage, but it isn't certified and doesn't have a 'warranty'. How much would that deduct from the price?

Thanks!

The thread helped more than you couls possibly imagine. Knowledge is power. If you are not knowledegeble, they will take you.

This car had a price of 27,800.

I lowballed 20,000

He countered with 25483 out the door.

I then sent his email and another stealerships email offer of 23560 (w/o taxes tag and title) to both stealerships.

I told them first one to 24,000 gets my money. I got an e-mail Sunday morning at 9:30.

I drove to some other dealers to take some more test drives (Lancer EVO, Saleen Focus, Mazda RX8) just to make sure the Honda was what I wanted.

It was and I wrote the check and drove off.

Thanks again. This is a great help.

Thanks. Looks like the latest offer is close to target! (target 19,696 vs 19,720 latest offer).

I looked at the vehicle today and it's "average" IMO. A few minor scratches, some fabric stains etc. I also found out this was a rental vehicle. Other than these minor cosmetic and easily fixable items it seems in good shape. I'm thinking about pounding them over these "flaws" though to see if I can drive it lower. According to Carfax they bought it at auction 2 months ago so I'm thinking they will be motivated to sell it.

Do you think I'll get any further or have I done the best I can do?
