Too many items from last year with similiar/changed prices make me have my doubts. yeah, im just gona wait until BF gets closer
the problem i have with the ads up right now is that last night around 7-8pmEST bf2005.net had a link called "fake store (1)" then if you clicked it brought you to the Wal-Mart list. it later changed the name to just Wal-Mart. Either the 'fake store' link was a test just to see if things were working, or the ads are fake. either way nothing on there looks worthy of a purchase in my book. There were two stores, Fake Store and something else. They were just test runs to test the shopping cart. |

Many itesm I do not recall from last year in WM's ad . The usual items (food chopper.etc) are ALWAYS there EVERY year so that does not mean fake . Some specific toys and items exclusive to 2005 are there so Im voting this a real ad .... |

In walmarts case can you buy earlier in the week and then go to the store on black friday and get a pricematch/return rebuy? Anyone want to list which stores you can and can't do this at? |

I could use some advice. I was shopping for a high-end item last year and missed out on some great BF deals because I wasn't looking. Well, I'm looking for another item this year, but I don't know how to go about specifically looking for a BF deal. Any advice would be appreciated. TIA, MC |

The site myblackfriday.com has search tools. Yet TBD if they work well or not since there is just 2 ads up. Good luck! Wish list: $50 >6" personal dvd player $200 desktop with 15" LCD $75 PS2 or Xbox (new) |

Don't underestimate your local supermarket for BF deals.
Last year ShopRite in the Northeast not only had some decent deals, but they had a promotion going on as well. The same promotion is going on now in that for every $300 you spend, you receive a 10% off coupon which is stackable up to 50%, maximum discount is $500. Save up to 50% on your shopping order.
Last year they had a 5" portable DVD player for $88 and well... you can do the math.
I'm saving my 10% off certificates to see what they have on BF. I'm closing in on my second 10% certificate. |

YMMV. I've had stores give me the lowest recent price on the item if I didn't have a receipt. I've since never tried it again |

...and people wonder why BF deals have been on the decline. I bet you're also somebody who abuses Costco's return policy and sees nothing wrong with it. |

Tell you what. I hate BestBuy so sure, go ahead and do that there. Circuit City, no, they won't let you. 'Cause I said so. |

That Xbox news is old (it says Sept 1). the date was firmed up as the 22nd a couple weeks ago.
Honestly, they're both bad dates. Many people travel over the holiday and won't be able to pick up their Xbox 360 until the Saturday or Sunday after anyway. Maybe there's some chance MS will release it a couple days earlier beause of this. Nintendo once moved a release date from a Monday back to the Friday before because school was in at the time and so "they wanted kids to have time to play it over the weekend". It'll all depend on how the shipping of the units goes and when the software (mainly the A-list titles like Kameo and PGR3) become available on the shelves.
Also, there likely won't be enough Xbox 360's available to make a dent in the craziness of Black Friday.
I've had one on preorder for 3 months or so. Boy, $399 and you still don't get rechargeable batteries for your controller and you get the "low-end" remote! What a ripoff. |
