Staples is the best place to do bf purchase…..because…..
I waited at CC store from 2:00 AM to get a laptop. There were 200 people by 4:30 AM. Later, rumors were passed around that laptops were already sold out to the first 15 people in queue. We didn’t hear from CC people so we waited some more time. Later, I walked to the front of the queue and checked with CC guys who confirmed that CC had 15 laptop at this store.

CC didn’t have a courtesy to let the customers, waiting in the queue at 15 degrees F, know that there are no more laptops. I felt so frustrated.

My friend was waiting at the WalMart store….The sales were poorly organized. They had only 5 laptops…Worst thing was, the people waiting in the queue first since 1:00 am did not get any laptop because laptops weren’t arranged yet. But when my friend asked the wm guys electronics area, they told to go and check the customer service because it is a special item and laptops are kept at cs. When they asked at cs counter, they replied to go back and electronics area. When these poor guys running back and forth between these two depts., whoever walked around electronics area got those 5 laptops just out of luck. Why didn’t wm say so that they have only 5 laptops? Why did they make the people wait in the queue? No tokens were issued either.

After knowing this over cell phone, I left from cc and drove to Staples which is 16 miles away from cc store. Staples sale started at 6 as advertised. But, those store employees and mangers were nice to let the customers come inside the front door and wait in the cart area. They ran the heater too…(please note that the temp was 15 degrees).
Later around 5:30 am, they offered a pen and a post-it to all customers to write down their shopping list. When customers asked where all hot-sale items are (not wanting to get disappointed), they were kind enough to let them know where those items were stocked (items Free-after-mail-in-rebate and SD cards etc).

Then, they started issuing tokens for each door-buster items such as acer-laptop, 200gb harddisk, netgear wireless router bundle etc. Note that this laptop is $449 direct price…no mail in rebate or anything. Also, For most of Staples sales items, we don’t need to mail the receipts and upc codes…everything is just online.

After issuing token, exactly at 6:00 am they let us in after thanking us for coming in that early and waiting.

This Staples store is at Chesterfield Township in Michigan, north of Detroit. CC is in Utica/Washington area. WM is at 23 mile and M53 junction…..

It was not worth to wait at CC, BB and wm. Just to go straight to Staples…hassle free shopping…..I was able to get the laptop from Staples….

I don’t work for Staples…..I mentioned the above here because I was disappointed that cc carried only 15 laptops and frustrated that they didn’t let the customers know….where it was just very easy to get a laptop for $80 more (no mir….just direct price).
