Any restrictions on what type of carts can be turned in or any kind of limit? I know OM only accepts certain manufacturers (one not being Canon) and I have a bunch of Canons laying around!

Yep, I have like 6 EPSON catridges lying around....maybe I'll just print the e-mail out and try. It would at least get me another ink cartridge.

Any ideas about where we can sell our large quantities of empties?
It is a $3 coupon for $3 off your next purchase of INK from Staples. Not $3 off anything. Coupons are limited in use to one per transaction.
Stores are supposed to only give the coupon out for recycling of HP, Lexmark and Staples brand cartridges but store near me is doing it for all cartridges.
"Talk about rewarding. Just bring any empty ink or toner cartridge to any Staples® store for recycling, and we'll give you a $3 coupon toward your next purchase."
So, it appears that they will take any carts. Time to dump mine. I used to trade them in for paper. But $3 in mechandise is a better deal.

The coupon is toward ANY purchase not just ink.

This is from the email someone mentioned it above but obviously some people don't seem to realize this: QUOTE Talk about rewarding. Just bring any empty ink or toner cartridge to any Staples® store for recycling, and we'll give you a $3 coupon toward your next purchase. ENDQUOTE
notice it doesn't saying $3 towards future ink cartridges.
Well if its for any purchase and there is no limit, this deal would be super hot.

Hey SonOfZues,
I sell my empty carts to a local stripmall based store that sells refilled cartridges. I get different amounts of $moolah$ for different cartridges (depending on what kinds they need at the time), but the last batch I dropped off got me $20 cash. I gave them 20 or so HP inkjet cartridges (the taller skinny ones) and the guy wanted to give me $15, but I dickered with him and did a little better. I also tried going to those computer shows that pop up in your local convention center and the inkjet refill booths there were usually willing to buy my old cartridges too. Hope the info helps.
If the coupon is $3 off any merchandise, this is a better deal...thanks OP!

What he said. The e-mail doesn't seem to exclude any type of cartridges, and the coupon offer doesn't say it is only for ink purchases. Not sure how Staples would interpret it, though. Too bad I threw away a bunch of Megatoners cartridges a couple of weeks ago.
My apologies. My store told me it was good ONLY on ink. But they are wrong. I called a different store and they confirmed it is on ANY purchase. Sorry for passing along the information I rec'd which turned out to be incorrect...

Anyone can guide me how to open the link and print it? the link just opens a gif file that says "get a $3 coupon for each empty ink cartridge".... not really worth printing, it doesn't even mention Staples.

Stinks...I totally just threw out a bunch of cartridges because I tried a couple of weeks ago to get $1 each at a Staples, but they weren't running this promotion.

Thanks 1ntwins for clearing up the coupon thing. I knew what the email SAID, but, as the recent Best Buy email/coupon thing demonstrated, email information doesn't always match the coupon information. (Allison scurries off to find some empty cartridges. )
Nice, I've got a couple of Brother empties I've been waiting to get rid of for awhile now, I just have to find them in the messy pile that is my desk Thanks OP.

Thanks OP. I have two empty ink cartridges saved for over two years, because I have been waiting for this offer. Actually, I have been trying to trade in my empty ink cartridges for paper at OfficeMax, but that offer's been gone for very long. This IS a lot better! =)

The coupon is toward ANY purchase not just ink. Correct. It is valid towards any purchase.
Does anyone know if this is stackable? I have two empty ink cartridges, and am wondering if I can use two $3 coupons both at once. Thanks.
I simply called my local Staple here at downtown Chicago and it's a GO. I have several in my office to get rid of.
Thank you, OP
Edit: forgot to say thank you, my bad

Mine are canon bci-24's.
Good question. I have a bunch of empty BCI-24 and compatible cartridges too. Considering they only cost 79-95c on Megatoners new, it would be great to get $3 a piece.
Got the email, don't seem to mention is there any limited on how many coupon you can get at a time. Anyone bring in multiply cartridges and got more than one coupons?

I just picked the 2 in the garbage from yesterday and I'll go pass by today. They're replacements for BCI-24 and the color one.

Can we bring in may cartridges and get multiple coupons?
kalyans said: For those of you who are oblivious, OfficeMax will give you a Ream (500 papers) free for giving your empty cartridge.
But this is better than OfficeMax The last few times I checked at the locations I visit, they no longer had this. In place, they had an empty cartrdge recycle bin where the money ($1, I believe) goes to schools or something.
complete YMMV.. Last 4 trx's were very mixed results..
1st: 12 % , 30 off 150 and 3 inks were accepted 2nd: 30 off 150 and 2 ink coupons were accepted (cashier says limit 3 coupons / day ) did not combine 12% 3rd: 30 off and 3 ink were accepted (12 % expired) 4th today: 30 off or Ink .. used 30 off.
