I know the laptop is getting most of the attention, but do you think they'll be a big rush for the gba?

"I tried to search it on HP website, just for some configuration info
But there is no relative result. Anyone knows about this?"

looking on HP's shopping site, seems like they are pushing 1100 series
but WalMart site is showing 1200's
http://www.WalMart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4267895

but take away media center xp, a64 3700, 200gb, 512mb, dvdburner, cdrom...
here is motherboard link for that model
Text

edit: looks like the board for the 1203 and 1213 is very different from the rest of the 1200 series

just keeping myself honest...

I personally saw the ad yesterday and the LapTop is $398.00

that's good. I will definately be in line with of hopes of grabbing one.

"I personally saw the ad yesterday and the LapTop is $398.00"

waht about the desktop?

Same price.. $398 for the desktop

I know that last year they had TONS of the GameBoy that was on sale Black Friday still left.. I believe it was $39? I cant remember which one it was.. But there wasnt a big rush for it to be honest.. I wouldnt worry about that.. The thing most people wanted last year was the cheap portable dvd player, and they still had alot of that left afterwards..

From what Ive heard around about the laptops, there arent going to be many to go around to each WalMart.. At first I heard about 24.. Now its about 50.. Probably depending on the store and amount of business they do, Im not sure

Thanks Sweetness80!

Both the laptop and desktop are definately $398

I have the ad in my hand, it was in todays Pennysaver. Its $488 here, I'm south of Buffalo, NY

The laptop here will be $378 at Mountain view,CA, as shown in the store fly.

Yes! Seems like Wal-Marts in So Cal are matching, or even beating, the BB BF ads.

The Venturer 6.2" portable DVD player - $68
The 15" LCD (model may vary by store) - $178
CyberHome DVD Recorder / Player - $68
HP Photosmart E317 5MP - $88

No mention of the HP desktop and LCD in the flyer though.

Just got a sale flyer tonight at my local WalMart (Lynchburg, VA) that had the laptop for $378. The customer service counter told me that they supposedly only had 12-15 for the store. I'm pretty skeptical as to that number since they seemed to have made that number off the top of their head, but they may in fact know. There was also a "Wal-Mart's advertised merchandise policy" at the bottom that said that if they ran out of a product, that you were entitled to a "similar item at a comparable price (or reduction in price if the item is on sale)." The next sentence said that they would give rainchecks, but not for "One-Time offer items". I would most certainly say that the black friday sale is a one time offer, but it made no mention of this on the comparable item part. It pretty much goes without saying that this will most likely be considered an error or something of that sort, but I don't know why they would even print this on the paper. I'm sure if someone wanted to press the issue enough, they could come out with some kind of unforseen deal with a guarantee like that. Anyway, I can scan the flyer if it does anyone any good...just let me know!

Some of these prices suck.

Example 1. Dora the Explorer Talking Kitchen (page 15 of the BFSCAN) is 79 on BF. WalMart.com has it right now for the regular price of 69 bucks.

Example #2. Dora the Explorer Talking Dollhouse. It is 10 cents cheaper if you were to buy it today than BF.

Check the regular prices is all I am saying. Just because it is BF doesn't mean it is a discount all the time.

Any specs on this?

Maybe similar to this: http://www.WalMart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4016520There is one ze2308wm on eBay.It has all yhe specs.

THE BIG SECRET IS OUT!
I'm on WalMart preferred mailers list and received the infamous BF ad on Saturday. Green color, red insert, exactly the same as the scans I've seen on the web. Interesting I think I'm in for a few items including the Kodak Z760 camera, dig camera accessory kit & Labtech wireless keyboard.

Black Friday sales are considered to be "Special Buys" WalMart doesnt give rainchecks for those, because they are just that, special buys.. AS far as how many they will receive it depends on who you ask.. A few weeks ago I was told about 24 would be in the store, and now I hear anywhere from 50-100.. best bet would probably be find a smalltown WalMart and go there.. LOL

I'm considering that camera myself.

Also... Does anyone know how WalMart does it? Will they give out tickets for the laptop? Or do I run like a maniac to the Electronics dept?

this is my first BF (so excited and i'm wondering the same thing

nice find. Thanks.

I see a 42" plasma TV on the front page for $997 in my local AD.

My local WalMart ad (semi rural area in Fl) has the HP Laptop for $488. I'm bummed. Wanted one for $398 real bad.

anyone have any idea what model that plasma is ?

The BF ad is up at Walmart.com Just put in your zip to search your local ad. I put in zips for 2 stores near me, about 15 miles apart. One had the HP laptop for $488 and one had it for $378. Hmmmmm.

wally has many tricks and turns for
BF!! SO many different ads for the BF! some
areas have $388 laptops, $488 laptops or even $642 laptops!
just depending on the area they are discrimanating this
month. the 15" lcd tv ,front cover, is $194 when ad first comes up but many
will pay $234!!
go to
www.walmartwatch.com for further details!!

Laptop is 378 in South Jersey - anyone know what brand the 42" LCD TV for $999 is ( on the front page ) ?

The laptop here in KC is $379.. But if you check for Wisconsin, it's $692.. Depends on where you live at..

To answer the question about the tickets, it depends on the store manager and what they think they should do.. They did that one year here but havent done it since.. Your best bet would probably be stand in line and hope.. LOL

But check your ad, because the prices are different on the electronics nationwide

By the look of the TV, it looks like a Magnavox.. I can barely see it though, but from looking on their site, the front label on the TV looks to be a Magnavox

Is this laptop better than the one at BB ?

bah am i the only one who could not find the Razr phone in the ads (in all 3 of them) ??

Dang...the HP camera is $98 in my ad....upstate NY

holy smoke, the laptop is 378 in my area.

"Same price.. $398 for the desktop"

much thanks for responding! and also thanks for others who confirmed.

WalMart is really competing with BB this year.. So chances are, if your WalMart's laptop isn't $378, then BB may not have the cheap laptop in your area either.. WalMart and BB have recently been competing hard with each other.. My guess would be the stores with the cheap, as in $378 laptop, probably have more than the others so they are prices to move them out of the store

Another heads up.. WalMart has some sales going on that are ONLINE ONLY.. Here is a link..
http://www.WalMart.com/catalog/product_listing.gsp?cat=453209&path=0%3A14503%3A453209 They have a laptop for $449.. So those of you that dont have the cheap one at your local WalMart.. GEt it online now! There are two pages of sales they are having just online though, might want to check it out

For those that are looking into the Wal-Mart plasma like myself, I have found out in central Texas it is a Viore 42" plasma (Akai Made). I was told by an electronics Wal-Mart employee that they were in a trailer and locked up. Not to be placed on the floor unitl friday morning and max resolution was 852x480.

I have never bought a plasma and at best I am 50/50 about this one. There is a link on the same model on thier website http://www.WalMart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=4172364 that states ntsc tv tuner, needs set-up box. Anybody knows what this means? Perhaps tv to pc?

specs:
Includes NTSC TV tuner; requires a set-top box, purchased separately, to receive HD (high definition) signals
Widescreen (16:9) ratio for the true big picture
1024 x 1024 resolution
2000:1 contrast ratio
1000 cd/m2 brightness
ED and HD compatible: 480p, 720p, 1080i
PC support: VGA, SVGA, XGA, SXGA, UXGA
Component video input: RCA x2
S-video input: DIN 4 pin x1
Analog VGA input: D-Sub 15 pin x1
DVI input
5W x 5W built-in rear speakers for a clean, uncluttered look

16.7 million colors possible
Satin black finish
Size, with stand: 41"W x 3.5"D x 28"H; size, w/out stand: 41"W x 3.5"D x 25.2"H

I look online for reviews on VIORE V42PD45M and they seem to be the exact same reviews, sounds fishy. But those that have reviewed it say they can get hdtv 1024x1024 out of it.

Do you think you can grab one? I mean even they advertise a price lower than this, it is too darn difficult to get it.

Hopefully. My place is right across the street from WM so I will wake up early.

The Wal-martians have landed!

The San Antonio DeZavala store already (as of at least 11:00 am today) has a line of people camping out! I'd estimate around 20 or so. I guess it's probably bye-bye for the laptop at this store...

Also, wasn't there a second PC config around $550 at W-M? I don't see it in the ad scan.

they are camping for xBox360
