Haha...I noticed that too!! I was hoping there would be a sale (and had planned on getting it for my girlfriend). I have really liked DDD, but switching the prices before a sale is technically ILLEGAL and VERY CHEAP of them. I'm going to think twice before buying from them again.
ehh... illegal? |

Nip/Tuck Season One just went from $17.38 to $43.18. That's NOT coincidence, that's more than a slight increase. Amazon has it for $19.97, but DDD is still listed on DVDPriceSearch as $22.85. That stinks!
Same thing for West Wing season 1 & 2, up to $43 ish from I think 19.99 and the office complete collection (i think was around 34 ish recently?? is up to 43 also.) Time to check dvdpricesearch to check recent prices before commiting to box sets. |

Even with the discount, they'll make a ton off me! I have all Curbs, Arrested Dev., Sopranos, and other TV series ready to go.
We'll see if they reply to my email. It's blatant price manipulation, and I told them my $800 wishlist (plus more, we always find more..) and five year order history depend on their reply. I've purchased 250 DVDs this year alone, I won't give a company my business if they pull this kind of crap. Will it change anything? Probably not, they can do what they want. But if $25 is worth losing a customer, I'll leave that decision up to them. |

This price jacking is ridiculous -- everything I was planning to buy has been increased 20%. |

I think if they only raised the price on some popular stuff that they are already selling at a really great price, it wouldnt be a big deal... (so that they 20% off sale price equals their old price). But on some sets they are over doubling the price, and that's not ok.
Especially on some S1 & S2 sets... the distributors must have has some sale/price drop on those lately because a lot of places have them for $20 and under, and DDD is hiking up the price over 100%. |

Seems like new(er) releases it'd be hard for them to increase the price by 20% as it would drive away business of people w/o the coupon.
Lets hope it works on pre orders
24 Season 4 - $ 45.xx less $9.xx plus free shipping = 36.xx -- would be a great deal -- Hope coupon is valid for pre orders |

It never works on pre-orders, but it does work on backordered items. |

Heard a few bad stories about Deep Discount DVD, but have yet had any personal experience with them. Anyone want to share positive and negative shopping experiences with them? Thanks. |

I had checked DDD about a week or so for a bunch of DVDs and remembered FW talking about the 20% discount in November. So, I decided to wait. The price of Smallville season 4 went from $26.xx to $43.xx, much more than 20%. I will re-check the other DVDs that we had planned on buying and see if we do so or not... |
