The price displayed on dvdprice search is not the actual price click on the DDD link
BlackFire said:FWIW while DDD has jacked prices up, their prices (allowing for no tax / free shipping) are still lower than anything else out there, at least as displayed on DVD PRice Search. Maybe it's not 20% below the next lowest, but it's still ~10% lower and from a `reputable' merchant. |

leprechaun said:It's amazing what's going on over @ DVDTalk. The mods are deleting most of the posts where people are simply pointing on the price increases, even in a civil "Man this sucks" tone.
It's one thing to jack up prices, but when the mods of a site start deleting posts because the site has a financial interest in referral sales, that's really crossing the line. Obviously DDD and DVDTalk can both do what they want, but people aren't stupid.
i've noticed that same thing. that thread is crazy busy! |

Didn't price this before the sale, but still a pretty good deal I think: the Thunderbirds MegaSet 12 -DVD boxset for ~$85 after the discount. Currently selling for ~$160 on Amazon.

I was looking to order gilmore girls 3rd season for my girlfriend. It was $29.99 earlier today, so I wanted to wait for the 20%. Now the price is $43. Even with the 20% discount, the final price is higher than what it was earlier. |

THANKS!!! I've been waiting since last year for them to do this sale again. I'm going to try to hang on until the 15th so I can get the Captain and Tennille DVDs (they better be out on the 15th! There have so many delays already!)Also, the sale is good for UMDs! 10 whoops and a green from me! |

Thanks OP - picked up Attack of the Clones ($11.67) for my son and and Fandango ($7.20) for myself for under $19. They both were not marked up over last week's prices. |

moulder3 said: Haha...I noticed that too!! I was hoping there would be a sale (and had planned on getting it for my girlfriend). I have really liked DDD, but switching the prices before a sale is technically ILLEGAL and VERY CHEAP of them. I'm going to think twice before buying from them again.
Where'd you get that from? They are free to set whatever prices they want, including upping their prices before a sale. It violates no laws, though may be a disreputable business practice. |

AAAARGH! Just saw that they delayed Captain and Tennille AGAIN!!! Oh well. BTW, I don't know if all the price jacks have been resolved, but all the DVDs I've looked at have reasonable prices. To those of you who don't have them, I HIGHLY recommend picking up Sledge Hammer, Seasons 1-2. Regular price $23.99, very reasonable, and with the discount, a bargain. One of the greatest series of all time. Like an 80s version of Arrested Development, but dealing with a crazy cop. Season 1 features the greatest season finale of all time. |

This is strange...
DVD's that were already out, now have a "Street Date" of 11/22/05.
How is this possible?
DIRECTORS LABEL SERIES BOX SET (released in 2004) now says 11/22 street date.
Anyone else noticing this?
