watch out for pre-ordering anything from EB Games...
I happened to be close to the EB games I pre-ordered my XBOX 360 from and wanted to see what day they were coming in... I proceded to ask the guy behind the counter and he said they were only getting a quarter of the systems in they were promised... so they need to reorder the list to who has paid more of it off and preordered more games and accessories... and not according to the day you preordered it. I had him explain to me several times just to make sure I understood. whoever spends more money there gets priority. I made sure to be one of the first to preorder to make sure I got it before CHRISTmas, but looks like I might get hammered for not paying the most money prior to release...

GameStop recently merged with EB after Christmas you should see alot of the Eb's turning into gamestops. Funcoland and babbages is part of GameStop as well.

The problem really isn't EB fault, it is Microsoft's!!! They are not sending out enough systems and causing the delays. It looks like Eb made a reactive choice to the situation, but I wouldn't just take the guy at the counters word. If you feel slighted I would ask for his DM, not the store manager, to rectify the problem. I would ask if you might be able to add more money to your pre order to insure you a get one on the 22nd.
