Did you give them the code for the $77 deal or just ask for the deal? I'm sure they don't care what junk you get in the mail but the mailer likely has the code you need to quote to get the deal. It sounds like you may not have provided it. |

Let me know how you do with this as I have the 3 months free with no activation fee and I would like to get the $77 deal.
Did anybody get a mailer on this and have an idea when the offer expires? |

I tried yesterday but was on hold for over 10 minutes. I will try again today. Or maybe I will wait for someone to answer your question about how the coupon looks like. An image uploaded would be wonderful. |

Hold times exceeded 40 minutes at times yesterday due to the wave of customers calling to cancel their service. XM suspended Opie and Anthony from XM due to the concern that their recent comments might threaten the government approval of the XM/Sirius merger. In a show of support for Opie and Anthony, and a sign of protest over XM's decision to censor the voices of their on-air talent for the sake of promoting their business a lot of subscribers called to cancel. |

This works. It took about an hour yesterday but I got 9 months free service! Call them and tell them you are furious over the suspension and to keep your business you want a 12 month credit and see what they offer. |

Not sure how a company can stay in business giving away their product. Nine months is a big chunk. I don't think it's fair to try and get a year's free service. I'm on a three months free offer so I don't have any bargaining room there. It doesn't really make sense. They take off O&A which you would assume they wanted to do for justifiable reasons yet if a customer is mad about their decision, they give you free service?
Sound like a lot of people are easily bought off. They want to cancel in protest but when offered free service, they grab it. Bottom line is that XM retains the subscriber and the subscriber numbers which helps the stock, etc. You are doing no good if you are ready to compromise your principles but this is a different matter altogether.
I don't care for O&A but it might be a good time to get that $77 deal if they are getting that many calls for cancellation. I did a bit of research on that $77 deal and it seems like the offer is geared for expired or near expiring subscriptions (hence the z"winback") so it's best to wait until you're near the end of your three months if you're on the free deal. However, it sounds like some have piggybacked the $77 deal on top of the three months of free service. Can anyone confirm if this is the case? |

We have a new car that came with the three month trial. The trial ended in mid-March and we did not renew. Now, two months later, we got a postcard that says: 12 Months of XM Radio-Only $77, a 50% savings...and we'll waive the $14.99 reactivation fee.
Call 1-866-409-1996 Offer ends May 31, 2007 Applicable only to eligible XM Factory Installed Vehicles. Redeem this offer using the unique Radio ID printed on this card. The ID is simply the 8 character ID that we get from the radio on channel zero. There are no offer codes listed on the card. |

Above still works 5-17-07
I did the thing above and the girl said that if they keep my CC on file (not to bill, just to have it??) then it's a 1 month credit off the $77. I got charged a total of $64.05 and used PP debit card for 1.5% CashBack. Total out of pocket = $63.09 |

is ZWINBACK still working, or is it a phone code? Online it says "*Your promotion code must be 9 characters long". |

I believe that this code only works by calling in. |

Customer service is VERY busy. I've been on hold for >30 minutes and cannot get thru.
Is this typical of XM? |

40 minute hold. Then 30 min with CSR to take one radio off and use Zwinback on remaining radio.
Customer service does not seem to be strong point of XM. |

Due to the outage of XM from yesterday until 11:30 A.M. ET today, the lines have been flooded with people wanting to know what the problem is and, no doubt, trying to get credit for service interruption. This along with O&A fans still plugging up the lines has contributed to the extraordinarily long hold times.
How did you make out with the code? |

The code worked. CSR told me they would honor it if I was thinking of quitting. I said ok and they did it. I had 1 month left in my free trial. Pretty childish. The two CSR experience today turned me off. They act like the customer is stupid!! And it seems that they enjoy it if they get you frustrated. |

Would it be correct to say that the one year subscription you paid for was tacked onto the remaining balance of your free trial? |

Called in 5/30, told the nice lady I was a previous XM customer (I was) and that I received a flyer for XM Radio 12-month for $77. She didn't ask for a code or anything, just asked for my previous radio id, confirmed my billing info, and set it up. Entire call was less than 5 minutes. |

Just called to try an renew my $77 bucks for a year deal...They wouldn't do it, but they offered 6 months at $38, so I grabbed that.
Not bad. Not bad at all. |

I went online and used the XMSCION03 promo code for XM Radio for the waived activation fee and 3 months free on 6/11/2007. It worked great! Thanks fatwallet! |
