Heh...fat chance. AMD made significant increases to the Opty pricing. This used to be the cheapest place for Optys, you can check their prices.

Estimated shipping date: Wednesday, February 08, 2006

I have a coupon code. May or may not use it (debating). If I don't, I'll post it tomorrow's AM. I believe the coupon expires 1/25/06.

For those of you who share the opinion of The above comment, take a look at this.

AMD Price Cut

In the coming month AMD will cut prices on the Opterons by 30% - 50%
The Opteron 275 will be around $700 and the lower end procs will sell for sub $350.

By the way I think this is a hot deal for the X2 4400+
For those of you who are debating on the 3800+ please remember that the L2 Cache is 512 and doesn't increase to 1MB until the 4400+
Just a suggestion.

$133 for additional 512 cache, is it worth?

Edit: yes, plus 4400 vs 3800
