For Office Depot rebates that take more than the promised time to arrive, call the Office Depot executive offices at 800-937-3600 or 561-438-4800 and ask for "Customer Relations". Explain the problem and they'll get you your rebate promptly. (This is only for rebates that are actually offered by Office Depot, not manufacturer's rebates for products that Office Depot sells.) This is especially useful for rebates that are handled by the Express Group for Office Depot.

That's strange, they responded to my complaints against KB Gear and Philips. Maybe they realize we're all talking about the same problems and decided not to respond individually
Anyway, in their reply, they said they won't take any action based on individual complaints. They will, however, take action if they see a trend; i.e. receive lots of complaints against one company.
Anyway, their consumer hotline is 1-877-382-4357 (Same as Lanyap's link ) I wonder why their online form doesn't work anymore
It's the same IP address as ExpressGroup: http://209.69.149.201/egcheckstatus/checkstatus.asp I think ExpressGroup rebate center is handling OD rebates now.
COMPUTING INSIDER TIPS ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ** Consumer Watch... Debates about Rebates
Yes, it's true. More and more retailers are using rebates as incentives to entice you into their stores to buy upgrades for your PC. Unfortunately, the processing of rebates is often a confusing and tedious process by design.
While rebate programs can work both to the advangage of user and maufacturer, rebate offers often require a great deal of work to complete accurately. Making you work hard for your rebate is part of a numbers game, particularly in those free-bate offers. Less takers means higher profit margins for vendors.
Be sure you look for the expiration date before investing time filling out the rebate form. We recently found an expired offer in a recent weekly advertising insert.
You'll also have to be patient waiting for your rebate check. Some larger software vendors, like Intuit, often take up to 90 days to fulfill upgrade rebates to their customers.
staples contact information - for situations where Parago is supposed to pay the rebate for purchases made at staples. Director of Customer Satisfaction Improvement staples
Before you call , be sure to:
1. Wait whatever amount of time the rebate form says you must wait to get the rebate, plus a week or so (but don't wait much longer).
2. Telephone Parago at whatever number is on your rebate form AND look at www.rebateshq.com to obtain the status of the rebate. If Parago has mailed the rebate, they can usually give you the check number (on the phone) as confirmation that it really has been mailed.
If you have waited the specified amount of time and your rebate has not been mailed (i.e. Parago tells you that it is still "being processed" after 9 weeks and the fullfillment time was listed as 6 to 8 weeks), then you should probably call. Often, Parago says that they will expedite your rebate when you call about it being overdue, but that is just a Parago stonewalling technique, in my experience.
Be businesslike when you speak and he will get you your rebate promptly. Remind him that you fulfilled your end of the contract and that it is only fair that staples do what they promised in the time frame that they promised. Edit by Moderator: the person listed in this email is no longer employed in the capacity listed above. Staples asks that you direct customer service issues to their website here: link
Anyone interested in reading a fluff piece about our friends TCA in New Rochelle, see this link.
I have written to the reporter (his email address is linked at the end of the article if anyone else would like to share their views) to let him know the full story.
] TCA is paid for every piece of mail it handles ] ] TCA gets paid again for handling the follow-up mailing.
What a racket!!
I'd like to know how a client audits the initial mail total. TCA could make up numbers for the "rejected" batch. I guess they have to keep the totals & percentages constant...
At least now we know why follow-ups have increased steadily. Again, just make something up and you get paid...
I'll give credit to WheresMyRebate. They supposedly never received a rebate I submitted. I re-submitted and it's scheduled for mailing. But of course that will be over 5 months after the initial postmark...

mods may remove this post, but just sharing my experiencing: this rebate processing company is horrible in my opinion. They have never processed any rebate in time (5 months and over is common), and on more than one occasion, they have mailed a check that was VOID (expired) after reaching me. I would avoid them at all costs in the future.
edit: I got another "EXPIRED" check today; obviously they mailed it months after the "ISSUE" date on purpose so it would be expired when I got it.
It would be nice if you could search without giving the last name as well. They had my last name starting with a T instead of an R for one check I got recently.
Fortunately, I have since learned that when buying in the store, you always tell them to enter your phone number and find your name/address in the computer, so now my rebate forms are pre-filled out. Of course, this does not help with stuff I buy online and that was the one where my last name was misspelled.
Rebate forms give it as 78501. Anyone know how up to date the USPS ZIP code database is or which is more likely to be the actual zip code? I'm not really worried about the forms not getting delivered, like I might be with a company that processes its own rebates, but it would still be nice to use the correct ZIP+4 barcode since I'm printing envelopes anyway.
neff - I really would not be concerned about the zip code being wrong. There are so many thousands of these going to any address put on a form, that even if they were wrong the company that printed the form would be able to alert the post office and have them handle the misdirected mail. I remember a free memory deal with CompUSA last year, everyone was convinced that they had printed the wrong address/zip on the form because it was different from normal CompUSA/ New Rochelle rebates. Well it turns out that not only was it correct, but I think that rebate got paid faster than any other CompUSA rebate in recent memory. Bottom line: do not assume that you know better, just put what they ask for on the form. I guess that zip+4 might help but I have a feeling that the post offices that handle these things have a way to expedite sorting without the +4 info.
kwg - your info on zip codes is not completely correct. If you look at the New Rochelle addresses, their post office box zip code ends up 2 (10802) while the normal post office zip ends with 1, and in fact that is what I believe is pretty standard.
Of course, you will likely wait 3 months (or longer) to receive your rebate from them. They're really awful. I have found that emailing them can speed it up a bit.
If you have an update/addition/correction you can either use Quick Summary, PM me or leave a reply in this thread. I check this thread for updates on a regular basis but normally only update the list once a month.
