Anyone interested in reading a fluff piece about our friends TCA in New Rochelle, see this link.
I have written to the reporter (his email address is linked at the end of the article if anyone else would like to share their views) to let him know the full story.

re: TCA article
] TCA is paid for every piece of mail it handles ] ] TCA gets paid again for handling the follow-up mailing.
What a racket!!
I'd like to know how a client audits the initial mail total. TCA could make up numbers for the "rejected" batch. I guess they have to keep the totals & percentages constant...
At least now we know why follow-ups have increased steadily. Again, just make something up and you get paid...
I'll give credit to WheresMyRebate. They supposedly never received a rebate I submitted. I re-submitted and it's scheduled for mailing. But of course that will be over 5 months after the initial postmark... |

Cyberbishop
Thanks for solving the Mesa, AZ rebate center mystery. I could not find my Linksys rebates though.
Found their business website HERE after doing a Google search on Global Fulfillment Services. |

It would be nice if you could search without giving the last name as well. They had my last name starting with a T instead of an R for one check I got recently.
Fortunately, I have since learned that when buying in the store, you always tell them to enter your phone number and find your name/address in the computer, so now my rebate forms are pre-filled out. Of course, this does not help with stuff I buy online and that was the one where my last name was misspelled.

staples / Parago / RebatesHQ McAllen, TX actual zipcode 78501 or 78502?
ZIP+4 Code Look-up gives it as 78502 (this is for PO BOX 9712)
http://www.usps.com/ncsc/lookups/lookup_zip+4.html
Rebate forms give it as 78501. Anyone know how up to date the USPS ZIP code database is or which is more likely to be the actual zip code? I'm not really worried about the forms not getting delivered, like I might be with a company that processes its own rebates, but it would still be nice to use the correct ZIP+4 barcode since I'm printing envelopes anyway. |

neff,
USPS POBox zips end with the number one.
Your example: 78502 area zip 78501 pobox zip
And, as everyone guesses, the box is usually the 'plus 4' number. e.g. pob 1234 78501-1234
A post office I go to is in the 77270 zip. Boxes are pob 71####, 77271-####. |

neff - I really would not be concerned about the zip code being wrong. There are so many thousands of these going to any address put on a form, that even if they were wrong the company that printed the form would be able to alert the post office and have them handle the misdirected mail. I remember a free memory deal with CompUSA last year, everyone was convinced that they had printed the wrong address/zip on the form because it was different from normal CompUSA/ New Rochelle rebates. Well it turns out that not only was it correct, but I think that rebate got paid faster than any other CompUSA rebate in recent memory. Bottom line: do not assume that you know better, just put what they ask for on the form. I guess that zip+4 might help but I have a feeling that the post offices that handle these things have a way to expedite sorting without the +4 info.
kwg - your info on zip codes is not completely correct. If you look at the New Rochelle addresses, their post office box zip code ends up 2 (10802) while the normal post office zip ends with 1, and in fact that is what I believe is pretty standard.

Link for Express Group lookup
Of course, you will likely wait 3 months (or longer) to receive your rebate from them. They're really awful. I have found that emailing them can speed it up a bit.
