Hi there, someone over in hot deals posted a site that's having a "Wootoff" style sale. This got me wondering about other sites like Woot that may exist.

My last 2 BOC's have truly been crap.Worthless, broken, missing parts crap.Pure garbage.I got a mystery box from MB and it had 20 CDRW's, a $60+ remote and some other stuff! Woot was good for about 3 months and has sucked ever since, period.I go there once in awhile but the rare decent deal they have anymore sells out in minutes. The rest of the time it's the same obsolete refurbished stuff over and over. I was unaware of Zort until yesterday but they look to have some great deals and no nerds(it's to bright outdoors) to buy up everything to resell on eBay for a 1% profit.

I agree 100%. While I liked it when Woot went to 7 days a week, now too many people are there... and so help me half don't have half a brain as we can all see by the comments made about the product.
IMHO Midnightbox was better at one time, but they've sure slipped. I've also received far more DOA items from them than Woot.
Here is another one that I've bought several items from... Goingtoday
They are a small operation, strictly PayPal for payment, but they've been good for me. All items are music related in some way. New items 7 days a week, and they've had some exceptional deals. With just one exception, shipping has been very fast.

It was the first Mystery Box they had.Another item I remembered-a white w/blue lettering MidnightBox T-shirt.There was at least one other good item but it escapes me right now.

I would have to concur about woot. They sell utter crap over there, its all refurbished or outdated junk. Most of the time the price isn't even that great, but it won't stop people from impusle buying. Plus it takes them about 4 business days to process your order and another week or so to arrive if you live anywhere outside of Texas. It always comes terribly packaged and often the products are defective.
I'm amazed some people are stupid enough to buy the stuff on that website. Frankly I'd rather save my money and buy something useful that I really want then by a truly subpar product and save a few bucks. The posters on woot are also idiots as well, blindly defending the crap products woot puts up for sale.

SD could be SmarterDeals.com which is a techie price comparison site similar to pricewatch.
Another site trying to be another Woot is weeklycloseouts.com. Not sure if they are any good or not.

The dailyzort rocks! I got a cool toolkit (and some small gadgety stuff) in my UZO (BOC). I've also ordered several things from them and shipping is fast and the items are good quality. Just bought some stuff from the Zortacular, too.

1dealday -which I can't seem to link to because it's a "forbidden word"- I did get their random bag of hats. They are currently "on hiatus"
I miss daily.Deal.com - it was an interesting concept - they would start the price stupidly high at midnight and keep dropping the price until it sold out. Most of the stuff was junk, but they did have some decent clothing and household items.

The woot BOC is one of its few redeeming factors. You get your moneys worth, but then again it really is crap you don't need. I paid 8 bucks and got a small stuffed panda, a used cd player, a crappy desk calendar, and a crappy christmas stocking.

I have only done one mystery box and it was on eBay. It cost me 20 bucks and I got some bath and body products and a ten dollar bill taped to the bottom of the box. It was great fun! But I probably won't try my luck again, unless another auction with guaranteed cash is involved.

The only thing I ever bought from Woot was the Matrix 10 DVD Special Edition Collection w/Neo Bust. That was a good deal. Other than that, it's all useless crap.

Well, I did buy that Infocus 61" DLP TV. So would I say woot does have some good deals? It saved me about $800 that time, I certainly would. I would have jumped on the Fosgate Home Theatre stuff I had the $ a few months back.
It is true to say that they have gone down hill, and often the products are obsolete. Do people buy crap on impulse? Sure they do, but you can get good deal if you less excitable and more discerning!

Why do people sem to ahte Lunarloot so much?
Seems the comment salways say "not a good deal" the Ipod for $19.95 but the comment said "$65 here.." isnt $19.95 $45.05 cheaper than $65? Or is my math skills lacking?
