that being said, im not gonna order a ps3 either, because i dont have $599 bucks laying around that i want to spend...

The Xcox360 is an overheating, technologically inferior piece of JUNK.
1) It costs too much for being "next gen"
2) There isn't enough developer support
3) It doesn't support BLU-Ray or HD formats
4) The games are no better than Xbox, and they cost more

The 360 shouldn't cost more than maybe $200. Once it gets down to that price, you can come back here and give some REAL reasons why to buy it.

Thousands of people were waiting in line hours at E3 expo to play it. The system is under $250....which is much less than the 360. The games look sweet. Developer support is there and growing. Someone's Dad is going to buy one so he can play golf on the Wii controller. (Sega is working on a Tennis game & so is Nintendo.)
I hope Nintendo CRUSHES the 360 and Bill Gates cries.

uh...the 360 is DEFINATELY not crap....has it been slow to showcase its full potential in the form of gameplay and graphics? yes. the wireless controller operates flawlessly and was a huge step for me, the incorporation of xbox live service and media center controls are great, downoadable demoes and trailers for movies are great as well...i could go on and on. Dont be that Nintendo fanboy that is so dedicated that he or she will put everything else down. Sure the Wii will be cool for the audience they are shooting for. I am sure the asian markets will go crazy for it like they always do for nintendo (a la DS). hell i might even buy one, but to say it is going to CRUSH the 360 is waaaaaaaaay over the top at this point. Just admit it, Microsoft nailed this one. Once the game developers catch up to the technology, which is rapidly approaching, you might be singing a very different tune.

and to answer your points:
1. uh...the thousands of people who stood in line on release day and fought over getting units would beg to differ with you..not to mention the guys paying 1000.00 on eBay.

2. by developer you mean game developers? i dont understand this point as most of the major devs are signed on..hell even the next GTA will be on 360.

3. ok, we can pretty much assume one of the technologies are gonna fail. so put yourself in the shoes of M$, would you take the gamble on one or the other...plus the technology is barely here now, it definately wasnt ready when 360 was released last year. if M$ had waited to develop incorporation of the blu ray or whatever they would have missed the boat completely and defeated the purpose of their release. (to be the first next-gen system to release) and their timing was impeccable with the release.

4. That is an unfair statement...there is no way you can compare the graphics of an xbox OG and the 360. so how can the games not be better? graphics don't matter in gameplay? i dont think we want this type of argument. Also like i said let the developers catch up and then we will decide for sure.

1. Nintendo already said they are not making a "Next-Gen" console.

2. Who cares? GTA is the same crap washed over and over again. "Kill this guy", "blow this guy up", "shoot this guy and run away". Yes I've played them all, and I think they are only popular because they push the limits of violence in games. Come on, hot coffee? Why was that even bothered with? Because most GTA gamers are between the ages of 14-18.

3. I don't agree with the fact that X360 doesn't support HD/BlueRay, so yeah. BlueRay is going to fail, just like UMDs. Sorry.

4. I didn't see him mention graphics..? What are most of the games out for X360 right now? Shooters and sports games. I can get the same stuff on my regular Xbox for half the price.

Which one? Is FYE a good place to preorder? I was going to wait to preorder at EB or GS

Here's a site that shows pre-order availibility at the major retailers not sure how often they update or if it's referral linked, it is convenient though...
