AMEX pulled the plug on that program. It ended 11/1/06 for the Starwood card, 10/1/06 for all other AMEX cards.
Sucks.
If you want to hear the bad news straight from the horse's mouth.
My debit card from my bank just switched over to mastercard and offers BVG as well as an additional 1year warranty... quite sweet actually. |

Just another sign of the times. It seems all these great deals and consumer programs are disappearing as the economy tanks. Don't think it's tanking? Wait until the holiday retail numbers come out. I'm betting they will be, as they say in the industry, "disappointing". If you think it's bad now, wait until more big companies tie executive compensation to performance (and it is happening, slowly)...they'll squeeze their cheeks closed faster than a New York clam at low tide.
Sure, HDTV's are going to be coming down fast, but have you looked at the rest of your bills lately?

Thanks for bringing us all down with your sobering analysis of the economy. In fact, forget you, I'll listen to W, he says the economy is doing great. |

That's all very nice, but what does it have to do with TV's at Best Buy?
If you want a discussion of that nature, there are much better places for it. |

So it looks like the 42" HP Plasma won't be part of the BB BF Sale. Nor the dual-core laptop. |

Thanks for getting us excited about nothing. The 1080p Sharp won't be $1200 OTD. Marking this thread as a "dead deal."
