The Sharp - AQUOS 42" 1080p LCD HDTV LC-42D62U will be $1200 OTD. The Hewlett-Packard - 42" Plasma HDTV PL-4260 will be $850 OTD. The Insignia™ 42" Plasma HDTV NS-42PDP will be $700 OTD. The Magnavox - 15" HD-Ready LCD TV w/HD will be $130 OTD.
How'd you get $1,200 OTD for the AQUOS 42" 1080p LC-42D62U Reg. Price = $2,300 Current Sale Price after current 10% off = 2,070 even 30% off of the sale price (which is doubtful to happen) = $1,450 Anyway, most Likely it's 30% of regular price = $2,300 * .70 = $1,610 after 8% tax = $1,739 which is about $200 less than current best prices shipped (which is good if you were looking to buy it)
If it's $1,200 (i.e. not b/c of the 30% off that as well as other sales mentioned are about 50% off, I better start camping now

Zenoicus said:I can't contain my skepticism. BB's current price on the Sharp is $2300; 30% off would put it at $1610. Their regular price would have to fall to $1715 within four weeks for that discount to work out. If by chance $1200 is a correct figure, they'll surely offer it on only a woefully small lot of 'em (like in the single digits--or less, haha). Yes, probably 1 (max 5) per store. So how to be #1 -5... How does it work, I've never gotten there that early? Once they open the door do they give you a number, or your just first in line to make a dash to the TV? Also can you split it (i.e. have someone camp out 1/2 of the night (say starting from midnight- 4am) and then someone else take over that first spot from 4am - 9 am store opening? Would other people on line get violent? |

By the way, is it just my Best Buy or are they no longer marking down open box items and just tagging on a credit towards next purchase in all stores?
That really kills all open box deals a BB for me

There has been a lot of talk about this in other threads. Read some of the BB threads from others. Seems all the stores are starting to do this. |

....And so it begins!!!
If true, this could sure prime the pump,so to speak, for BB's competitors to scramble to offer something as atttractive to get folks in their stores. |

Not for nothing. Go look at what you are buying before you throw your money out the window. The 4 brands listed, along with maxent are trash. They have a horrible picture #1,(compare contrast ratios) and #2 they are all horrible quality. Look at what you are buying before you throw your money out the window.

Any reason we can't just buy the tvs a few days before Black Friday, then get a pricematch on BF - saving ourselves from the hordes? |
