Neither of these two points are correct. The majority of analysts I've seen are predicting a huge christmas season, due mostly to energy costs going lower. Furthermore flat screen sales have driven growth at chains like BB and CC for the past few quarters.

3. analysts all over predicting gloomy holiday shopping season & flat economy, so:

Then when the doors opened everyone bum rushed the doors and people were getting trampled and yelling at each other. Almost erupted into a really ugly scene.
Same happenned to me 3 years ago when I camping out there @ mid-night. My friend and I was 5th in line but we end up getting nothing cuz people behind ran and cut the line once the door open... |

I thought that pretty much everyone has a TV nowadays. I think mine is 27 inches, and it does me fine. Not a flat screen or an HDTV, but it looks great and I get to see Hugh Laurie do his thang in color.
Are TV's that big a deal that everyone is clamoring for the new and best? I really don't get it. It there some viewing experience I am missing out on by not having an HDTV Plasma Flat Screen? |

Sounds like you have a 27" Bubble screen. You're missing out on big screen clarity. I'd at least upgrade to a Projection CRT Flatscreen TV. Only if you like watching movies though. Otherwise you should be fine with what you have. |

Well, I have to admit that complelling content, like a really good movie, can be just as engrossing on a 27" CRT as on a 61" flat screen. The right movie can take you just as far away from reality on a 27" as it can on a 61", but that's not really the point of this thread. Everybody here wants a huge flat panel, not necessarily because it makes the TV programming any better (it doesn't), but because huge flat panels are very cool and look fantastic! |
